To each their own. I will continue to drink large quantities of diet soda. lol

Mine wasn't really about physical appearance. About 6 years ago, I was diagnosed pre-diabetic. I lost 85 pounds and have kept it off.
-
Sometimes a good splurge gives me the energy to create deficits in the days ahead. Just don't let it be the start of a habit or trend.
-
Let me simplify this. You are on a beta blocker which lowers your heart rate. However, if you are concerned you are sabotaging your weight loss by taking a beta blocker then you don't need to worry.

I would say that starting to aggressive is probably more to blame than the stretching part. It is pretty important to work yourself up slowly to avoid injury.
-
For what it is worth, this happened to me all the time. Once I lost weight, the numbness went away. I'm not sure if this applied to you or not.
-
Agree, go with the watch calories burned.
-
Agree with most people here, I find anything above 1% incline is actually harder than pounding the pavement.
-
Also, keep sustainability in mind. You want to build on a lifestyle that you can maintain forever.
-
I like your strategy courtney. If you let yourself get too hungry then you may try to overcompensate. If you eat up to maintenance on occasion then you won't be taking a step backwards.
-
Definitely my face.

Perfect.

If I run pretty hard on a treadmill (5'11'', 180 lbs), according to my garmin I will burn approximately 700-750 calories in an hour. Some people may burn 1000 calories +, but my guess is most of them are overestimating their burn.
-
I just ordered a SPIbelt running belt.
-
Ouch meandering, so sorry to hear that.
-
Yeah silver..I feel the same way when I am on the treadmill at the gym with other people around me and don't want to let the gas flow.
-
I have Garmin vivoactive HR and I love it. Agree with Meandering in that super high accuracy heart rate is generally not needed for 99 percent of the people who use a heart rate monitor. I use it to get a feel for my resting heart rate and to get a general idea of what my heart rate is doing during a workout. That's it.

About 5 years ago I lost about 85-90 pounds via running. I started off doing run-walks on a treadmill. When I started to feel too comfortable, I would bump up the speed and duration. Don't go too hard out of the gate so you don't injured yourself. Now, I can run a 5 K in 23-24 minutes depending on the course and can run…

I laid a big log.
-
Yeah.. 2600 isn't binging. That's surviving. 3500-4000 is binging. :D
-
It is a long journey, no doubt. I think other people are just jealous :)
-
I have vivoactive HR and I love it..if anything it seems to be conservative on calorie expenditure.
-
Pretty sure everything at the cheesecake factory is a calorie bomb no matter how innocent they appear.
-
Running is fantastic for weight loss. As always, still need to be careful not to eat back your calories burned though. Proper diet is critical to weight loss.
-
I drink diet soda like it is going out of style and it has never once affected my weight.
-
Same.
-
The statistic is scary, however the good news is that you have control over whether you fit in the 95% or 5% bucket.
-
So it doesn't really hurt (social moral support), rather than it is just not as effective as competition? There is a difference.
-
I see we have a mathematician on our hands. ;)

I drink diet soda like it is going out of style and I have never noticed it affecting weight gain or weight loss. Sometimes I do get the urge to eat something along with it (habitual).
