2,600 calories.

Feeling so guilty about my intake for today... 2,600 calories. I gave into some of my old "binge" habits and I feel so so down about it. I don't want this to become a habit again! I know I'll wake up tomorrow feeling like trash and I'm so terrified of gaining weight. Honest opinion: is 2,600 too much?? My macro goal is about 1,800. I've been eating upwards of 2,200 daily though
just feeling really hopeless and I don't know what's triggering these binges.

Hey, that's my maintenance calories. Also, you appear to be male and probably taller than me, so I think you will be fine. I also think a binge is defined as eating over 3000 calories in one sitting. You aren't binging, and you won't gain weight eating 2200 or 2600 calories in one day. My opinion is to relax, because tomorrow is a new day.5

You're a man. Depending on your stats and activity, you may as well still be in a deficit at 2600 calories. Worst case scenario if you're quite is short is that you went over maintenance by a little bit, nothing extreme that can't be fixed within a couple of days.

Josh. Take a step back. Relax. Even if you do gain, is that really the end of the world? I am not going to ask for your stats but I am sure a bit of weight gain will be ok for you. If you are freaking out that much, maybe time to talk to someone if not already about your fears and binge tendencies. You are a great guy, just need to relax a little bit ok? ok
I eat anywhere from 3000-3500.. am I terrified? Never. That is how much I need to eat. Mind you I am trying to gain, but still, I am in control of the situation and know what I am doing is going to help me in the long run. Just remember you won't get fat overnight. Good luck3 -
Too much for what? What are your stats? It's probably maintenance so you're worrying about nothing.
Have you thought about getting some help for these feelings you're having?0 -
Iirk you are underweight or low normal right? You should be eating at least 2200 a day0

Josh what is your activity level like? I know you are very lean from previous threads but don't recall if you have a high TDEE or not? I'm a woman, 5'9" and 130lbs and I maintain on 3100 because I am active- you're a dude, I feel like you should be okay0

You are a good human. I've seen it on other posts. Try to be kind to yourself. This is a tough time of year; food, physical and mental.
Try to take some time for yourself where you do something you enjoy for 30 minutes each day for the next few days. I meditate or read or watch trash TV. Or just play with my cats or stare into space. Phone and computer off. Just me time. Give it a try, it is not selfish.
Be kind to yourself. Hugs.0 -
Yeah.. 2600 isn't binging. That's surviving. 3500-4000 is binging.0

I thought you are trying to maintain? It definitely doesn't sound like it.1
