  • I prelog the night before or first thing in the morning so I don't have anything to think about and I know it's done properly. I then only have to adjust throughout the day as I need to for unexpected things, change of plans or even just fancying something different and tweaking a meal. I always do very badly when I have a…
  • Thanks janej. That's what I thought and I almost kept it to lightly active because I do a bit less during winter months, but, I get stressed if I go over daily food allowances so I think I prefer to see more calories to play with each day. What would you class a lightly or moderately active though?
  • Thanks. I've synced it janej, but I'm worried about tracking anything other than steps on my Fitbit (which is like totally dumb because that's what it's there for and what I want it for!) I had my activity set to low before but I read today that mfp gives higher exercise adjustments if you are actually quite active but set…
  • Yes but I saw that they had lots of problems that they were trying to resolve so I cancelled my original posting to them thinking it would resolve itself eventually. Didn't expect it to fix my syncing problems by loosing 1 months worth of food entries 😭. Will put a new submission on bug was hoping I'd get the answer via…
  • I'm absolutely devasted with this. Anyone else had the same problem? I'm more worried though about it happening again too. I've had lots of fitbit syncing problels, then teamrh never ever syncing to mfp, now this. What's the point if I'm just going to loose it all again. Does this happen often on mfp??
  • How strange.. Just checked again and my app food entries don't show at all on the website diary???
  • 3 x 1 minute runs... Not 31 mins run! 😅
  • Brain over binge. Kathryn Hansen. I bought it as an audible. :)
  • I must be really thick because I can't access my friends open diaries unless I see the message saying they've completed their diaries. Thought it was the same for my diary. Spiriteagle... This might be the case because I suspect my fitbit has been over estimating my daily activities. Approx 1750 cals eaten (and I've had…
  • Thanks again all. Staticsplint...your message really hit home to me. Because I've been allowing myself almost daily treats, I do feel a lot more calmer and in control. Makes total sense I'd binge if I've previously deprived myself as much as possible from having treats.
  • Thanks for your thoughts on this. I think it is more psychological to me probably. If I'm on a sugar binge it doesn't matter how full I am from my evening meal. So trying to train myself not to have desserts every night might work better.
  • Yes I stall or even out a pound or 2 on due to some meds if i need them, or sympathy comfort food! Very frustrating.
  • Panic over.... I found the chocolate 😭. I can't find fibre 1 bars in france and those wraps sound amazing but I'd never get them here either. I think it was a case of some items not properly registered with fiber and 'e concentrating too much on protein. Thanks all :)
  • So change the activity and carry on with 1700 but don't track any exercise? I get that but I do like to see my day to day activity and food consumption together. I think it gives me a better picture of everything I do, not just what I put in my mouth - if that makes sense. :)
  • I'm not sure about that lortpb because when my fitbit was syncing OK it was giving me way more calories than I'm getting just by entering in total minutes per day. I've disconnected and reconnected and other things like a zillion times but I'll reread the post to see if I've missed anything. I'm on a plan where I set my…
  • I've just double checked this and it looks like some of my food is synced to my fitbit do I guess I've correctly synced the accounts and not just steps. Just wondering now if it's maybe best just to log my food directly into my fitbit and not have to worry about syncing them! Very frustrated because I've just newly…

  • I've only synced the steps. I didn't actually realise that we could sync so the fitbit registered good etc. If I'm having so much problems trying to sync the steps then I take it trying to fully sync the accounts wouldn't work either then?

  • I love my new hybrid. I love the ability to ride anywhere, and it's light, so very fast. Don't be do hard on yitrdekf.. To be honest I don't think many people would've been able to trial a bike like that in those tricky circumstances!! Especially someone new to road bikes. Get a second hand one. The shop doesn't warrent…

  • Thanks vggb. Living in France it's hard to eat earlier and I've got so used to 7 to 8pm at the earliest that it will be hard to do, but, I want to give it a go. I'll start with more 4pm snacks. Then earlier dinner (if possible!) Brush teeth and have cup of tea! Ultimately my final goal would be to not pick after dinner…
  • I get where you're coming from with the sugar. I demonised it for years after reading only bad stuff about it. I was convinced that I was addicted to sweet foods because once I started eating foods like that (especially sugar fat mixed... Cake !) I couldn't stop. Totally agree with an earlier post about eating foods you…
  • Great advice-thanks! I think someone hit the nail on the head when they said eat earlier and save a good portion of my calories for late afternoon onwards. I know if I skip my big breakfast (400+ cals) or reduce it considerably I tend to easily stay in my calories and it doesn't bother me too much waiting until 12.30 to…
  • All great advice you've got already so not sure my thoughts could add anything to what's been said. You're not 200 lb!! Great achievement. If it was me, I'd be concerned about the 4 year creep too and annoyed that I hadn't been able to maintain (even the same weight for 2 years in a row would make me happy). I think…
  • I'm not sure I understand about setting it to active? I've set it to lightly active anyway so I don't think I will loose any calories?? and I manually set my calories at 1700. For lightly active on a loss of 1lb per week mfp said 1350 calories. I figured 1350 plus my 10k steps would be around the 1700.
  • I put it on first thing in the morning and take it off after dinner when I'm relaxing for the night. Wore it on and off just to see what the sleep tracker was like when I first got it, but don't like sleeping with a watch on, and, wasn't that impressed with the results. (it said I was solid sleeping when I got up and went…
  • Yes It was another site COLLECTINGBLUES. That makes sense to me that the calories are already included in the 1700. Thanks.im much clearer now. :)
  • I'm a bit worried though because I'm on a plan that allows me 1700 calories. Il not using mfp recommendations. It's quite high on protein and fibre if I can fit it in, and 10k steps à day. I'm happy with the higher calories because I'm sick of very low calorie dieting. I'm quite active and usually average 15k steps with…
  • What fantastic advice with just 3 replies.. Thank-you soo much! I suspect I've been eating between 1200 to 1500 a day on good days, but, probably 2500 plus on bad days. I've had way too many bad days recently 😭. Very happy with 0.5 per week so that calorie allowance seems generous, and doable! I'm fairly to very active. I…
