I like Synergy Mystic Mango A LOT! It one of those things that I can't believe isn't more calories than it is. A whole 16 oz bottle is only 100 calories. It's crazy.

I used to eat Bear Valley Pemmican Bars when I was playing volleyball after work. They were natural, filling, and would inspire you to drink water after. Easy to keep them on hand and can be stored in the freezer.

I'm usually over my sugar goal and sometimes over my sodium. I'm just trying to stay under my calorie goal for now, which is hard enough for me.

Your BMI is appropriate. Seems you shouldn't be worried.

I'm not a doctor, but seems that you're reducing your accustomed supply of dopamine and tryptophan in quitting alcohol and meats. Maybe try getting other sources naturally? And then get a psychiatric evaluation to take it further on brain chemistry. Also look at yoga and meditation.

Good stuff. I'm jealous of the energy level thing. I'm down to 2 doses of caffeine a day, but rarely feel energized unless I'm already active. I'm still celebrating my victory of quitting drinking Sept 6, 1997. My resting heart rate is also good and I shoveled my driveway yesterday instead of plowing or blowing.

Just getting started. I was thinking of waiting till Jan 1 to start MFP, but thought it would be best to get acquainted and set a bit of a baseline. To the OP's question - I'm splurging Saturday for sure. Holiday with family and there will be lots to sample.
