Um, actually your legs aren’t just “better” as you say, they’re quite fabulous! Way to go!

Hi, My daughter is a super athletic teen who was recently diagnosed with bipolar. She started Seroquel back in September and has gained around 20 lbs. it’s tough because Seroquel and other meds used for bipolar often seem to remove that signal that you’re full/satiety from eating. So there’s this temptation to graze or…

I drink flavoured water (0 calorie) and have switched from coffee with cream and sugar to chai tea with Splenda or Stevia. I get bored of plain water and this has helped me switch from high calorie drinks. I also try to make myself eat two cups of cooked veggies before I eat whatever other dinner meal I’ve planned. Two…

Thank you. This really helped. Because of CO I’d the hospital cafeteria is closed to the public and I think part of my problem was spending too many hours without eating (I brought healthy snacks but thought I’d be at the hospital for hours, not days). Looking at a healthy meal time as an opportunity to plan and enjoy…

Once the one child is out of intensive care at the hospital and the other one is medically stable as well I can’t wait to spend time with either of them. Had a few deaths lately and just need to make sure my kids survive and are ok and then I’ll embrace this idea wholeheartedly! Thank you!

A hello from Canada and a big hooray to you! Well done! I’m 44, same height and starting weight, also with PCOS and I’m finding your thread so inspiring! Thank you so much!!

I enjoyed reading this thread and thought I’d add my own experience. After marrying my husband as a virginal bride, and being left by said husband who decided he wasn’t into women anymore, I was a bit like a “kid in a candy store” when it came to online candy; and frankly; I wasn’t picky and wanted to sample all the treats…

Hi! When I started out I have the same thing. Super painful and barely able to do a squat. My personal trainer did some research (she has a degree in Kinesiology and Health sciences) and she had me roll out my quads, hamstrings, and most importantly my IT bands (at the side of your thigh - when they are tight it causes…

I think more men grunt lifting than women...heck we women likely make less grunting noises when we’re birthing babies than some of the guys at my gym! (Personally I think grunting like a pig or other attention seeking behaviour is disrespectful towards others who are trying hard to focus on their own lifting.) Also, I…

I am not a good person to give advice since I have a smart mouth...I’d be saying “Keep up unhelpful comments like that, my dear, and I’ll be happy to lose another 180 lbs just like that” (or insert whatever weight he is). Or “Remember, losing weight doesn’t fix a bad personality!” Then make a reminder set in your phone’s…

Thanks for the reply! I don’t live in a major urban centre and she is new to this occupation so given how happy I am with her, it would seem then that this is a very reasonable rate.

That’s awesome! I hve twins who weigh 23 lbs each. I can barely manage to lift both at once; at yet that’s how much (and then some!) that I need to lose. You inspired me today - thank you!

Thanks for the ideas! I just finally got both babies to bed (they seem to like taking turns), so now I’ll google these resources to get something going. I like both ideas; nice to have some balance. Thanks so much!

Hey everyone, I’m new here on this forum. I’ve been not logging for over a year. I wanted one last try at having a child, and underwent IVF at 41. Gave birth to twins at 42 last this past spring, and have had a tough recovery and kick in the pants with the reality of caring for twins who don’t sleep well. When I was…
