  • I can't believe I never tried microwaved pepperoni before. I just made some & they are AWESOME!! I've regularly eaten pepperoni straight out of the bag ever since I started Keto at the start of the year -but never thought to microwave it. Good stuff!!
  • I've been in full maintenance mode for a couple months now. I now do a "lazy(?)" Ketogenic diet -just "by feel" now though. I started off by no longer keeping track of my carb/protein/fat intake every day. Instead, I solely relied on my breathalyzer readings. Then, after several weeks of consistently producing readings…
  • Great to hear!! Congratulations!!
  • Rock on!! I love it!!
  • Awesome!! Thanks for the follow-up info. I've never tried Swerve before. I'll have to check it out. Mouth is watering just looking at those pics lol.
  • Those look really good!! I'm not much of a cook, but I'm definitely going to have to at least attempt to make these. I absolutely love cheesecake. Do you know the macros, or at least carb count?? I must have missed a previous post where you talked about these.
  • I'm debating on trying out this method too. Since hitting my goal by over 200% now, I relaxed my net carb number to around 25-30 (previously shot for under 20). But with the meter, I've been thinking of just playing it by ear now and going off the readings. It definitely sounds easier & it is, after all, what truly matters…
  • I've recently started drinking Zevia. They are a bit pricey, but if you find them on sale then it's not too bad. They got their own versions of most of the popular soda flavors. I personally really like their Dr Pepper & Root Beer versions (not too fond of their Mt Dew version though). And I've verified with my…
  • I usually hit .02 to .04 most days too. Only once have I hit .05 on my readings (you'll get an audible alert alarm when you hit this number -since it appears that you got the same one as me).
  • I use the vanilla flavor. I've never tried their other flavors because I've always been a fan of vanilla in general. I like it. I mix it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk & a tablespoon of MCT oil. Works good for me.
  • I take EAS Myoplex Protein Blend for my protein powder. It's 1 net carb & it's the protein powder that Jason Wittrock uses (professional bodybuilder who does Keto). Of course, he is sponsored by EAS -but he also does have a very firm grasp on Keto & definitely knows what works on this diet. Aside from this community, he's…
  • I absolutely love bullet proof coffee. Some days I have it multiple times a day. Only thing is that I use salted butter instead of unsalted. It's probably THE BEST thing that I've discovered since starting Keto.
  • This is the one I got. I really dig it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VFWWNXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_KiIT2RbG1Dbgk
  • I'm naturally a night owl & have always had issues with going to sleep when I should. But given that fact.... Yes, I did notice that I had an even harder time than usual (especially during the first month or so of starting keto) with falling asleep at a decent time. I felt like I could (and did) stay up all night long many…
  • Yep this community is one of the very few sites that I visit on a daily basis. I'm aways learning something new here & the positive attitudes are great!!
  • Yeah I couldn't believe it when my gf told me I looked too skinny. Just a few months ago we were both taking about how fat we both were & that we needed to lose weight. Typical..... fixed one problem, then the solution is now the new problem lol. But yeah, I agree with you -losing the fat padding over the muscle is…
  • I have one, but I still haven't used it yet. Bought it about 2 months ago lol. What kind of oil do you use??
  • I know, right!! It honestly kinda pisses me off a little bit that everything else that I've tried either really deprived me of food and/or made me eat stuff that didn't taste good at all to me. Not to mention that I now realize (scientifically) that every other diet I've been on was actually highly counter productive to…
  • I'll send you a friend request on here. That way you can view my food diary (-it's open for viewing to anyone who friend requests me on here). I've logged about 99% of everything that I've eaten since I've started Keto in January. If you want, you can go through my whole food diary, day-by-day, to see what I've eaten…
  • I never look at calories. Only thing I pay attention to is the getting as close as I can to the 75-20-5 ratios & (more importantly) keeping my carbs under my target number. I've done this from the start (around the new year). I've averaged right around 16g of carbs per day until I hit my target goal weight & waist size.…
  • This is the month that I'm transitioning from fat burning to muscle building. I (unexpectedly) got down to 14.7% body fat today. I started the year at 19.5% and in November was at 21.3% body fat. This is the skinniest I've ever been in my adult life. Yesterday I dug up my old leather motorcycle riding pants that I haven't…
  • Tonsils shrinking, stopped snoring, sleep apnea symptoms reduced (gone?), amount of gas greatly reduced, lifelong super oily skin & blackheads gone.... and much more!! Just like you, I'm gong to stay Ketogenic for the long haul because the health benefits are amazing!!
  • I thought my body was done loosing weight when I hit 185 -that's when I plateaued for 3 weeks. I was a bit discouraged, but kept on Keto. Then the next week my weight moved again, and still continues to move. I got 3 guys from work doing Keto now too & they have all hit a plateau also. One of them just broke though last…
  • Very nice!! I love it!!
  • With my scale, I have noticed somewhat of an inverse relationship between body fat & water. The more my body fat percentage decreases, the higher my water percentage increases. This image below explains what I mean. I have records going back much further (for several years, well before starting Keto), with numbers showing…
  • I like & follow Mercola. He seems to really research everything greatly & in depth. I loosely incorporate much of his diet plan & philosophy into my own as well -though I don't do the smoothie, but I've been toying around with the idea of IF. I guess you could say that my main focus has been the ratios of the standard keto…
  • I got a similar one off Amazon too ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VFWWNXO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). I was skeptical at first, but I figure for just $10..... why not?? The readings I get are on par with what I get with the urine test strips -which I've been comparing for the last week or so. I'm…
  • Wow that's cool. I don't think I've ever watched that show. I'll have to check that out & look for that episode. You got me interested now.
  • Good for you!! That's totally awesome!! I really wish that doctors would recommend at least trying a Ketogenic diet for a few months before any type of weight related, and/or sleep apnea related, surgery. They wanted to do 2 surgeries on me for my sleep apnea -remove my tonsils & fix a deviated septum. Turns out that keto…
