  • To add to my post above, I think it also depends on your supply as it is. I never had any problems with low supply. If that's something you've struggled with at any point in your breastfeeding journey, I wouldn't recommend cutting calories, it's too risky.
  • I eat around 1200 calories a day, some days up to 1600 but usually around 1200. I am breastfeeding an older infant (almost 10 months) and have had no drop in my supply or ill effects. I think it depends how many times a day you are breastfeeding. In the beginning, when she was nursing every two hours, I NEVER would have…
  • Howdy! My daughter is 9 months old today and exclusively breastfed. I kept waiting for the baby weight to melt off like it supposedly does when breastfeeding... yeeeahhh... that didn't happen. So I've gotten seriously about CICO and I've lost 26 pounds! Would love to be MFP friends! :) Cool tidbit: I once weighed myself…

With this also comes a massively increased appetite! I thought the baby…

  • I really just have no concept of a healthy portion size or what people normally eat. I can restrict heavily, but that goes too far in the opposite direction and is unsustainable. With MFP I am learning how a healthy person - a healthy me - actually eats!
  • Hi, I'm vegan and obese after the birth of my daughter. I was never super slim, but always felt healthy and confident. I haven't lost a single pound since giving birth, but fortunately haven't started gaining either! A close relative died of an easily preventable health condition recently and it was a serious wakeup call…
