the above statement I agree with! I have been Keto for a few months and when tracking in my diary, often I get error messages from MFP on too low of calories for the day, WTF? only 800 calories? I'm eating beef sticks, eggs, protein.. usually some meat, steak, roast for dinner. but I seem to eat significantly less now on a…

a calorie is a calorie? hmm. Check out this video blog of a body builder who ate 4,000 calories a day for 21 days to see what would happen, while NOT changing work outs, etc.. except he did it in Ketosis. others who did this calorie experiement using "low fat" have gained significant weight.…

White Chicken Chili. You can just swap out the Great Northern Beans for Black Soy beans. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/229949/creamy-white-chili/ I added all ingredients into MFP, trying to find nutrition labels I thought were accurate. (attached for entire recipe) I also added this into MyFitnessPal food database with the…

hi! I usually am in the LCD forum, but checking things out here too. I do lazy keto - track my food, but don't worry so much about macros. Just getting some weight loss. Did last year for a few months, dropped 30 lbs. Started again 1/15/17 and still going strong. Down 16 lbs. Had a few weeks of crazy stalls, but I have…

Adding in avocados as healthy fats, try bulletproof coffee- your own coffee, add in 2 Tbs butter, 1 Tbs Refined Coconut oil or MTC oil and blend in a blender. (Will not work trying to blend by hand)- it creates a latte like froth and people seem to LOVE It. (I personally hate all coffee, but my hubby really likes it),. Add…

I'm probably going to get absolutely roasted for this comment, but I am a diet coke drinker. I have NEVER had the keto flu, light headedness, hair falling out, etc. I attribute it to the sodium in the diet soda. I have a few a day, and am never low then. :smirk: BUT some people stall on diet soda, not to mention the health…

I attempted to eat coconut oil last night on a spoon. it was an interesting experience. I did about a 1/2 Tbs before I stopped. It was just too weird! I wish we had KerryGold butter here in WI. :(

1/15/17 (SW) 207 1/25/17 197 (stalled here) 2/08/17 195 (stalled again) 2/15/17 194 (did a 2 day carb cycle after) 2/22/17 191 GW: 170ish. We shall see.

I was looking into this too, as I had been stalled for about 3 weeks doing less than 20 carbs/day. Started 1/12/17 lazy Keto again (I track my net carbs, but not macros- although when I do look, they arnt too far out of the range) I started at 207. Got down within a few weeks to 196ish. then hovered at 195-197 for almost 3…

@zoemc01 - does that Oppsie bread really hold all that weight of the sandwich? I've used Cloud bread, but that is just silly trying to actually use it like a bun.

I've heard of people eating 5 RS Peanut Butter cups just to help with their constipation!

SW: 207.5 Current: 196 Goal Weight: 175 I keep going up & down 1-2 lbs over the last week. today I am up. I need to get some digestive things moving & tighten up my tracking/eating to really get into full ketosis. I am only mildly there I think. Gotta stop whining & start doing! Woop Woop

Yes. Im 8 years out from RNY. From my experience, and a recalling of all others I have know that have gone since me (8 friends/family) you are essentially put on a low carb diet after a WLS. protein first, then green veggies. When you talk to a nutritionalist you will notice that. So what they recommend works! You will not…

I use liquid smoke in marinades! it helps add a "smoky" flavor to foods.. I have never used straight though on a steak!? Its great when you marinade something you want to bake but would like a grilled taste.

very good point! I sent her 2 articles I found online about why it is NOT recommended- from WebMD & mayo clinic

@KnitOrMiss yes, I noticed this when I was trying to calculate out the carbs in my White Chicken chili. I went with the average of .4 carbs per Tbs.

Weigh in Wednesday.. Starting 1/15: 207 Current Weight 2/1: 197 I had a few times where I went off track (skinny girl margarita with the gals... then Damn you tortillas and salsa! and Movie theater Popcorn. I took a starch blocker both times to limit the damage, but I know when I do that I 1) Stall for a day or more 2) get…

personally, same problem after RNY 8 years ago and 2 babies. I am very interested in the Fascia Blaster... the results are pretty amazing.

umm, most chocolate is still loaded with sugar.. and even though strawberries are among the lowest sugar fruit, they still have more than necessary. I wouldn't consider this a low sugar desert, and certainly wouldn't fall into "low carb" how about a sugar-free cheesecake? You can make any cheesecake recipe and add in…

To all the "Babes"- Check out the Facebook group "Keto for Badass Babes" (Women only cuz there are a lot of before & after pictures people post). You can search for it on Facebook. There are always people posting food ideas, pictures of their progress and all kinds of stuff. At first, I was overwhelmed because it took up…
