Dry weight. And as an example to make sure the one you're looking at is accurate, 40g is 150 calories. 😎

Air fried extra firm tofu, drizzled with syrup.
-
Yessssss, same here with Brussels sprouts!! Can't get enough of them. I air fry them plain, then drench them in malt vinegar and/or hot sauce. They are so good and surprisingly filling for such low calorie little balls of deliciousness. 🤤

100% agreed. I have seen this mentioned several times before, and I want this too. 👍

@amusedmonkey Good to see I'm not the only one obsessed with cabbage! I went through a phase of eating it almost every other night for dinner for well over a year and did not tire of it at all! I like making it as a stir fry (no oil or anything) and just add different additions like lima beans, potatoes, soy curls, etc.…

It's very healthy, has a ton of protein, low calorie depending on the type, and takes on the flavor of whatever you make it with. Super versatile.

You really can't mess it up, lol. I eat silken tofu every single day after dinner as a dessert, or AS my dinner depending on how many things I throw into it. My usual add ons are chocolate syrup, cinnamon and munk fruit sweetener. But I also love frozen blueberries, strawberries and other fruit. Plain oatmeal is good in it…

I usually have some dark chocolate almost every night. Probably more of a treat type of thing. What kind do you eat? I prefer the vegan variety like Lily's or Enjoy Life, but also like the dark Hershey Kisses.
-
Today was oatmeal and blueberries.
-
I can vouch for those. They are both very very good...especially if you nuke it in the microwave for 20 seconds and eat it with a fork. 👍
-
In place of pasta noodles, I like to use hearts of palm noodles. My brand of choice is Palmini (the linguine shaped ones). I love them. Very pasta-y for very little calories.
-
I've been having canned pumpkin a lot lately (the whole can). Topped with munk fruit sweetener and cinnamon. Pretty good!
-
I feel like there's no better time to start than TODAY, as putting things off for another time can be a slippery slope. But that's me and we're all different. You should do what's best for you and whatever works to get what you want to achieve. 👍

If you have a Marshall's, TJ Maxx or Homegoods near you, they are always $3.99 per bottle of every flavor. That's one of my favorite flavors too. I have a whole cabinet of all kinds of flavors. Cheapest place to stock up.
-
Not really a "dressing", but my usual thing I put on my mixing bowl sized salad (which I have every day) is malt vinegar, sriracha hot sauce and different seasoning blends. 👌

Can we carpool to her house? I'm ok taking the scraps of what's leftover.
-
About the pets part (how do people bold stuff??). My dog sleeps with me and snores super loud. It actually lulls me to sleep. And she's like a 55 lb sack of potatoes (English Bulldog) that doesn't move at all during the night so no jostling issues. Lol!

I love the core, so I figure if a tree starts to grow it'll just keep me feeling full longer. It would be a win win situation! Lol.
-
I have to say....I love veggie meats and things like that, but that does not look good to my eyeballs.
-
Same here. I'm using the mobile web version on my phone which is fine but the forum on the app version (my preferred) isn't working.
-
I don't mind this new version because it's pretty similar to all the other message boards I use. It'll just take a little adjustment. But will the message board no longer work with the app as well?

Samesies.

@VegjoyP Every one of those photos is speaking directly to my soul! Totally my type of food. But what is the first one? Apples or something else? Looks pretty delish.
-
Same here. I attempt to avoid keeping bread in the house because it's one of the things I have extreme trouble keeping in check.

@Tealady02762 That article shows we aren't crazy.

I have. The weight of total servings equals the net weight on the front of the can. The problem is that includes the liquid. In my mind, you'd have to either drain it, then divide that weight by 3.5 or just go by the generic Usda for cooked drained beans I guess? My OCD is having problems resolving this puzzle. That's why…
-
Well don't hold out on us, how do you make it? I make a vegetarian version but don't eat them nearly enough. Yours look great!
-
Yes, if you look at the can it'll say x calories for x weight, but then it'll say "3.5 servings per container" of that weight for example. BUT.....then when you drain and weigh, the total weight doesn't add up to the net weight of the can or number of servings. It's maddening! Lol. So I never believe the can and just use…
-
Vegetarian here too! I use mainly frozen beans because I don't like all the added sodium of the canned versions, but honestly the main REAL reason I prefer cooking with frozen is because of that same reason you mention. I've never been able to understand how to calculate canned bean calories either. I thought it was…

New too! But I don't see anywhere that carries them near me.
