  • There is no insulin for fat storage and insulin for lean tissue maintenance and growth. Insulin is Insulin and it does its job. Now if insulin stores fat or shuttles nutrition to muscle cells depends on insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. First, insulin will try to load up muscles with proteins, glycogen in to…
  • I buy a big bottle of sugar free Syrup from Starbucks with spray pump. It costs around 12$, lasts for a while and Coffee just tastes like the one at Starbucks with no after taste. I personally like sugar free Cinnamon Dolce, but they have many other flavors. Another favorite of mine when I am craving pumpkin in fall is…
  • Except I never said fat adapted.
  • I said Keto adapted not fat adapted, big difference. My point was if you are naturally not hungry it's easy to do it for long time. I have seen many who go Keto and IF at same time, do it for a week or two and give up.
  • That article doesn't address concerns about insulin response from protein. It's pretty myopic view, when you consider insulin has one of the biggest influence in Lipolysis. Blood Glucose levels and insulin levels are not same. If you listen to actual Dr like Dr Eric Westman and Volek. They talk about how some people…
  • What is your weight? How much protein are you getting? Are you in ketosis? For me personally, I had to keep protein under certain limit or it slowed down my fat loss. My maintainence and fat loss diets are almost similar calorie wise except my maintainence is 15% more protein and less fat. You need to experiment and figure…
  • Lost 65lbs of fat and added 7 lbs of lbm (Bod pod fat measurements) in 6 months when I went keto back in the day. My plan was simple, trust the body and get key measurements (BMR, RQ) through Metabolic testing to see if my body was on track. Glad I did that because my BMR went up from 1640 to 2100 despite losing 65 lbs. My…
  • If this is your first time back in to keto or fasting, drop fasting. Once you are keto adapted, fasting might be easier because of less hunger on keto.. Forcing in to fasting may make it harder while your are getting adapted to keto.
  • What are your macro %? I have seen many stall on keto because they eat too little and get stuck in vicious cycle of slow metabolism.
  • I love drinking heavy cream lattes. I lost ton of fat on those 130g fat (1200 Cal) HC latte from starbucks.
  • It is pretty normal to be tired if you are working out at a higher intensity(KB, Heavy lifting, HIT etc..). The body still tries to use glycogen as fuel instead of fat at higher intensities. You have few options. 1. Push through this adaptation phase and body will adjust in few weeks. Took me 5 months for my body to be a…
