  • I used to heat my lunch up (if needed) and then, like everyone else - go to my car and eat on nice days and walk the rest - if it's cold, I still sit in my car and maybe close my eyes for a bit or read. Now, I'm at a job where my lunch is paid also so I just nibble while working ... I tend to drink more water that way too…
  • Yesssss!!!! I like beer entirely too much!
  • I have been told that 3 weeks is not long enough. My husband (who joined a year ago and lost 30 lbs. in 4 mos.) told me this past weekend that we start to lose right away and there are times that you will go a few weeks without losing. Just stay focused and keep at it! It's slowly kicking back in for me. I'm not giving up.…
  • My final straw is when I went to the Doctor with my husband and realized his MS is slowly progressing (he does not have much feeling in his right hand and his right leg goes to "sleep" throughout the day). I have to be healthy and fit to help him as this disease debilitates him. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter also. I…
  • Classic Frosted Strawberry here .... LOVE THEM!!!!!
  • @strifechick , I am also 5'2" and started at 161. I lost 5 lbs really quickly and have stalled ever since. I am on Escitalopram and have found it's getting harder and harder to lose weight. I gave up last week for just a week and ate what I wanted and how much - but found that last night, I was miserable. My stomach has…
  • I get to leave work a little early to go pick up my car that was at the body shop (3 weeks tomorrow) after being hit on my way to work! That makes me smile!!!!
  • OMG! This looks amazing!!!!!!
  • I agree with @kristinhowell Some days is a breeze and it's very easy - other days I'm starving and can't seem to eat enough :(
  • I drink an 8oz glass of water at 6am as I'm getting ready for work. I pack breakfast (usually a piece of bread, hard boiled egg and piece of turkey bacon) - heat it up around 8:45ish at work and eat it slowly drinking my coffee and water in-between bites. I try and make my breakfast last 30 min. to eat (working while…
  • Congratulations!!! I was asked by 3 people to buy from their adorable, little girls ... I passed them ALL UP!! If it's not in my house, I will not eat it!!!
  • I have been on Lexapro for about 3 months and I actually lost weight. It really decreased my appetite. I think everyone is a bit different when it comes to meds. I know people that have gained weight on BC, but I never did. Good Luck everyone!
  • I have been where you are - or I would lose a little and feel good and just slip right into old habits. I know, for me, I have to want it badly enough that I easily say "No" to sweets and fried foods and I weigh, measure and log everything that touches my lips. It's not easy, but you'll get there!!
  • I appreciate my Mom who worked 2 jobs while raising me as Mom and Dad to give me what I needed and teaching me the meaning of working hard for what I want. She truly is my hero and inspiration :)
  • I don't consider it cheating - but I do log everything that touches my mouth. If I have an under day, over day or a waayyy over day ... it is what it is. I don't feel guilty and just jump back on the ship the next day!
  • Boneless/skinless chicken breasts Lettuce or spinach Beer
  • Congratulations!!!! Very inspiring :)
  • Hello, I log anything and everything that touches my lips (and I log whether it's 0 calories or not). It helps me when I look back over the weeks. Alcohol has calories. If I have a beer, I log it. If I know I'm going out ahead of time, I plan my meals throughout the days coming up to the event so I have extra calories (my…
  • Banana's ... I used to eat one every day ... not now!
  • I'm 5'2" and have 20 to go ... (down 6) ... You just have to remember, we didn't put it on overnight (although it sure seemed like it - lol) you'll get there, just keep pushing along! I will tell you, I would probably drop more a little faster but I like to enjoy time out w/ my family and sometimes I do go over my…
  • I don't salt much at all ... but if I do, I use the absolute smallest measuring spoon I have, measure it and then dump it in my hand and only use about 1/2 of what I measure ... I'm not a huge salt person though.
  • I just finished a bowl of roasted brussel sprouts, asparagus and zucchini ... so low in calories, but I genuinely enjoy them. I just cut out carbs for 1 meal ... no more toast at breakfast, but will use bread or pitas for lunch ... just have to plan and think ahead.
  • I work full-time and have an active 2 1/2 year old along with a daughter that will be 18 in 2 mos. So we are doing college things for the fall. When the weather permits, we go for walks after dinner. Unfortunately I work an hour from home - so when I leave anywhere from 4:30-5:30, I have time to get dinner done, clean-up…
  • I cook my protein and veggies on Saturday night/Sunday morning for the week ahead and I pack my breakfast and lunch for the work week about 7 at night so I can just grab and go. My protein is in small 2 oz. containers so I know what I'm grabbing. I eat a lot of green veggies and chicken or shrimp during the week. I weigh…
  • I've lost 6 lbs. in 4 1/2 weeks. Although the scale isn't dropping (yet) rapidly, I overall feel better. More energy, I sleep better and my clothes overall fit nicer. I'm in this for the long haul :)
  • Me!! I get sick maybe, once a year. I am now sick for the 4th time this fall/winter. I started MFP on January 25th so I blamed my illnesses on the fact that Ohio's weather has been very weird (77 Friday, 38 Saturday w/ snow) and that my daughter started day care with 7 other 2 & 3 year olds in September .... Hope you feel…
  • It's pizza night every Friday at our house ... I eat the local pizza place, Gionino's / slice of pepperoni pizza on a large pizza is 298 calories. I eat my pizza very slow and if I'm still hungry I'll cut another slice in 1/2 and have that too! Like everyone said, maybe I'm not dropping weight like some, but I am losing,…
  • I agree! Don't think of this as a diet , it's a way to change your lifestyle for good - because we can still eat/drink whatever we want as long as we are accountable for everything we put in our mouths. I am at 1200 calories a day and my job is literally 8 hours of sitting - I'm very busy at my job and review/type things…
  • Definitely food scale! What I thought was an ounce - was NOT even close!
