You don't have to avoid sweets and soda's, you can lose weight eating whatever you'd like in moderation! Protein will make you feel more full, so you may want to focus your calories on that as well. I'm sure you'll do great!

@debbieinva That's awesome! Did you try some exercise you can do sitting down? When I had my surgery I couldn't stand or walk for three weeks so small weights became my best friends.

I overestimated by a lot when I didn't have a food scale. I didn't want to be someone who ate a dozen cookies and called it 100 calories.

I live with all men, and they want nothing to do with "rabbit food" as they call it. I use the forums here, call my mom, or use the mirror as my own support system. Every time I want to eat bad or give up, I stand in front of the mirror and I look at what I am, then imagine what I could be.

I'm not on zoloft specifically, but I'm on Trazodone and Nortriptalyne. Both have the "you're gonna gain weight" side effect. I've managed to lose on these, and on SSRI's and other antidepressants. It's all about calories in calories out, you can do it.

There really is no "quick and easy" to dieting. Track your calories, use a food scale, and work out at a moderate level. It's still February, so you have plenty of time to do this safely.

Just wanted to check in and share! Lost 4 pounds so far and I even ventured to a restaurant tonight and still stayed under my goal. Fitness wise well I just got a puppy so he keeps me moving. Mile walks per day getting him tuckered out and playing tug and fetch!

Just joined back after a long break. Have to lose about 150 pounds but I think I can do it!

I have PCOS, you can always add me if you need a motivating buddy.

I used to be in the mindset of "Wellp, I had a ton of peanut butter might as well finish the jar." Counting my binges really helps me get perspective of them.

I'm on my 5th day one.
