Now this could be helpful. I gained back almost all the weight I lost a few years ago and I'm tired of it. Starting weight: 153.6 Goal weight: 125.0 Current weight: 153.6 Total weight lost: n/a This week's successes: Set a goal, and am feeding my son all the treats in the house I like. This week's challenges: More snacks…

Hey hey hey! Lil' Oatmeal in da house!

Chef. Cleaning and screaming at other people that can't drive burns more of my calories than cooking. :D

I was so sad when I realized that Planet Fitness doesn't have a squat rack. Question for lifters: can a Smith machine substitute, even temporarily, for a squat rack, or am I just screwed? I'm working my way up to a normal barbell weight with dumbbells at the moment, but when I get there, is it time to find a new gym?

I was set up on a blind date with a guy that my sister and my cousin had been trying to get me to meet for months. Finally my sister literally dragged me out of the house to meet him. As soon as we met, we clicked. Now we're married with a 2 year old son.

Our office is talking about sit/stand desks. I'm eagerly awaiting any information on that front. Until then, I'm walking to co-workers' desks to talk (which is hard in a call center) and I try to get to the gym and use the treadmill 5-6 days a week.

I eat fast. Always have. In my family, nobody talks during dinner. And I eat most of my other meals on the go or while working. My body rarely tells me that I'm full; the only way I've learned what a reasonable portion is supposed to look like is by tracking.

I think I'm skipping the rolls so I can get another slice of sweet potato pie!

Sleepy. So, so sleepy.

And now I want everything you just named. *sigh* I have pre-measured out little baggies of salty snack foods that I grab if I want that (annoying at first, but it helps me regulate and is cheaper than grabbing multiple smaller bags from a store). If I want something sweet, there is always at least one pint of Halo Top in…

Wow. I never made the connection. And I love that movie.

I actually had to do that about a month ago. I will accept almost any friend request, but when I accepted, all this person's comments were about eating only 750 calories a day, despite having others tell him that it wasn't healthy. Since I'm not about that life, and he was already being warned about his habits, I simply…

Mine is open to friends only. If you comment, obviously I've opened myself up somewhat to it since I added you.

My mother says the "moment on the lips" quote a lot... and then I remind her that I've lost 22 lbs eating pretty much whatever I wanted.
-
Oh, THAT'S what that means! I saw WOE somewhere and was wondering why the poster was so sad (woe is me?).

CLICKBAIT. And not very good clickbait at that. Makes other weightlifters (like myself) look bad. Besides, Zumba looks fun; can just never get to the class at my local gym.

When I was still eating 1200 cals a day, I was losing about 1.5lbs/week, and I'm a shortie (5'1"). When I got stuck, I started weighing my food and the weight started coming off again.

I said no to a cookie and a second burger yesterday. Today I just said no to leaving the house. It's too hot outside.

I don't. My fat is usually higher than my goal, but since I'm still losing weight, I'm probably going to just adjust the goal. My sodium is over half the time and I always have at least two days in a week that my sugar is too high, but my bloodwork is perfect so I don't worry about it.

Since I only use my calories on food I actually like now, I do enjoy eating more, but it has affected my relationship. I don't eat out nearly as much as I used to; and when I do, it's always the lower calorie option, since my version of portion control gets skewed where restaurants are concerned.

*sigh* 5'1" here and even at the lowest calorie setting (1200) I was only losing 1.5lbs/week. I've found it in my best interest to not eat back exercise calories because it stalls my weight; I only do a bit of lifting and yoga and have a desk job. I'm currently at a 1320 limit, but tend to eat between 1100 and 1250 for a…

My mother lost about 30 lbs using WW back in 2012. Came back to it last year, but since they made all fruits and veggies "free" she didn't lose like before. Came here and has lost weight. She got me to join here seeing her success.

Mini goal is 132 by my doctor's appt on 9/27. I will have moved from overweight to a normal weight. Only 8 lbs away! Final goal is still another 25 lbs to go.
-
My main work pants are falling off me, LOL.
-
I prelog all meals up to 3 days in advance, just to see how I can work my mom's casseroles into my day.
-
"I'm not losing weight" means that you have lost 0 pounds. Not 2 or 3 or 5. Zero. If you haven't lost any weight in a month, tighten up your logging. A food scale will become your best friend. Weight loss starts in the kitchen. Don't get discouraged. No one lost a significant amount of weight in a month unless you had…

I've lost 20 pounds and have never even thought about going low-carb.

I always weigh Saturday morning, naked, after using the bathroom. My clothing, depending on the time of year, can be anywhere between 1.5 and 7.5 lbs, and I don't want my doc to not believe me when I tell her I've started exercising.
