Ha! That's how I felt when I first discovered spaghetti squash. It's a great feeling! Enjoy!

Feel free to add me.

You can throw me in the appearance (and health) column.

I'm an addict. I swear I'd shoot up bread if I could. I don't have that problem with anything else so I just avoid it and use it as a treat on pretty rare occasion. I always try to take the wholest grain option even then.

You rang?

I do the Quaker instant regular and add sweetener too. Every. Single. Day. It's only 100 calories. Quite a calorie deal if you ask me. Which you didn't. But still....

I got down PAST my goal weight and realized that I still needed to lose. But that was all me. No one else. Just make sure it's what's good for your body and health, not your ego.

I eat out a lot and almost always order a salad with a piece of salmon on top and the dressing on the side. Then I'll do the old dip the fork in the dressing routine. It has become my favorite thing to get when I go out and has done nothing but support my efforts.

Amazing tribute. I'm sincerely glad for you both that you found each other.

There's a spice company called Penzey's and in addition to all the normal spices and herbs, they have all different kinds of amazing flavor combos to shake all over your food. Many don't even have salt and they're still amazing.

Hello! The words "strict diet" made me shudder because all by itself it suggests deprivation and unpleasantness. It doesn't have to be like that. Surf around on these boards and see if you can pick up any inspiration for a weight loss plan that allows you to live. Either way, I wish you much success!

Differs from person to person and behavior to behavior. I just (very impatiently) waited it out.
-
I definitely did yesterday, but I don't rely on it much so gave up quickly.

You could lose weight eating off the dollar menu too. Might not be the healthiest, but you either want this and are ready for it, or you don't and you're not. It's all about choices. We were all not ready at one point in time. Maybe you're just not there yet.

I never had a weight goal for a reward. That would have been too frustrating for me. Instead, I would reward myself for sticking to plan for a X period of time. Two weeks, four weeks, whatever. So as not to spend too much money while transitioning, I would reward myself with a trip to Goodwill to pick up something nice and…

Absolutely. Congratulations!

Be right over!

Probably average 3.2 even though I walk a lot. I wish my pace was more of a 4.0, but I just don't have the stride for that, and I have officially moved on into the acceptance phase...
-
Way way WAY harder for me...
-
If it makes you feel any better, I read what you ate twice because it sounded so good... Well done! Just resume the straight path now. You're fine.
-
No shortcuts to the top. Plain & simple.

Been really curious. Glad you posted the question!

Assuming we're not talking one time, your question actually describes bulimia... Just sayin'.

Habit. I've overdone a few things to the point where I never want to see it again, but that's pretty rare. And one or two things like that have made a comeback after a long period of not having it.

Disease-Proof by Dr. David Katz. Amazing and amazingly simple conceptually. Focuses more on health than weight loss specifically, but is a huge motivator to do everything you can to maximize your health.

I switched from white rice to brown rice because it fulfilled the need, but for some reason I didn't want nearly as much of it. You could try giving that a go. I actually prefer it now.

A "no something" diet always sounds gimmicky to me, but a person can do just about anything for 20 days...

Not to miss the point or anything, but thank you for your service!!!
