  • Agree. And please, for the love of my eyes, develop a dark mode. This white is blinding.
  • Cyclist here from northeast USA. Tough getting out until December right now because of scheduling issues (nobody to watch the kids during daylight hours before/after teaching day), but hoping to get back out on the trails come late December once school lets out. I used to be a road biker, but have had too many close calls…
  • I enjoy it for a mid-afternoon snack. My diet is generally pretty low in sodium anyway, so the sodium doesn't really bother me much. My go-to is Tillamook zero-sugar teriyaki (though the regular zero-sugar one is good too).
  • I think I'm going to take a little break from the challenge for a while. I'm sorry to do this mid-month, but I hope to maybe be back in October.
  • Feeling really frustrated these past few days. The most recent MFP update made the app obsolete for my phone, so now I have no "on the go" access for tracking. And how often do I really have to sit down at a proper computer and log my food? The app was invaluable. i could scan upc codes, etc. Now, nothing. Might have to…
  • Still mixing things up. Since I'm now seated at a desk from 7AM - 4PM every day, and then home with my own kids every evening, I'm trying to find ways to use my lunch breaks or evening hours (after kids' bedtime) to exercise. I tried belly dancing yesterday. Meh. Cardio drumming was fun though, but the spousal unit…
  • So....as some of you know, I'm more of a mountain biking/kayaking/hiking girl. The dancey-dancey stuff just isn't my jam, yo. But as the days get shorter here in PA and I know that I won't have time to go out in the daylight hours to ride, I need to figure out something. So I tried something different today. A 32 minute…
  • Between fitting in last-minute summer vacation fun for my kids, getting them ready for school again, getting ME ready for students teaching, prepping for my PECT tomorrow etc., this week has not been kind to me for getting cardio. But today, I took the kids for a 2 mile walk. I'll do a bike ride tomorrow, hopefully. But we…
  • I'm happy to help in whatever way I can. I'm online every day anyway. I was wondering how you were managing so many challenges at once (and leading 2 of them!)
  • Hey lady. It's all about the journey, my friend. If you need someone to step in for you, just for September to help with updating the sheet, I'm happy to do so. I'm on everyday to log anyway, so it's not a big deal. Just let me know. I've often found that a reset is just what the proverbial doctor ordered to mix things up.…
  • I weigh myself daily as soon as I wake up and track that in an Excel worksheet, so I can add little notes, etc. to track any trends, ie, ToM water retention, mood-based trends, etc. I only officially "log" my weight every Friday to get a better gauge of the overall trend.

  • 4th grade honors math! FUN, right? (No sarcasm here. I really like teaching math and 4th graders are so much fun. They're reading cool things and they understand things like sarcasm.)
  • I rarely get time out of the house, but my spousal unit offered to watch the kids so I could go for a bike ride. I don't think he intended for me to be gone for 3 hours, but hey, if I got out more often, my rides might be shorter, yo. I'm a gravel rider, mostly, and I saw lots of fun stuff, from 2 unicyclists to an…

  • 08.20.21 weigh-in: 200.6 I'll admit that this was a hard pill to swallow, so to speak. I have not ONCE gone over calories, and I carefully weigh and track every single thing that I eat and drink like it's my darn religion. I've been working out -- swimming about 1.25 miles every day this week, plus strength training and…

  • Did you receive my application? Just keep looking out the window for my owl!
  • Could be sodium. Lots of those kinds of foods are salty. Just keep doing what you do and your body will rebalance.
  • On Sunday, I swam laps in the pool. 1600m. Then today I decided to do it again. 2000m and then an additional 20 minutes treading water. I forgot how much I love to swim laps. It's very soothing to me, much like riding my bike or kayaking. I'm very sad that lap-swimming season is almost over. Blerg. I'm feeling very trapped…
  • I drink my coffee as a protein shake in the morning. A scoop of protein powder, some cold brew (or day-old refrigerated) coffee, a cup of unsweetened almond milk. I usually blend it with some ice and it's a decent breakfast/meal replacement for me.
  • So much fun on the Delaware River yesterday. 8 sets of rapids. Lots of new friends. And my arms are sore/tired, so that's always a good thing; it means that they worked! I also moved into Onederland this week, so that's a thing, right?
  • Thank you, Jessica! I'll take pictures a-plenty! I've really been looking forward to this day (even though the heat index is supposed to be 115+ degrees!) My exchange this morning with my spousal unit (who is NOT an outdoorsy guy): Me: It's gonna be a hot one tomorrow, but I guess the river is going to be the best place to…
  • Could you please just roll-over my weight from last week? I have a LONG day tomorrow out on the Delaware River kayaking, and we leave at, like, 6:30A and not home until late. I'll just catch up the following week. Thank you!
