I’m 5’10” at 147 lbs and maintain my weight at 1700 net

I have lost weight starting at 1200 calories and ate my exercise calories back. I think you can do it as long as you account for your 5 miles a day. I counted 100 calories per mile when I was heavier so often ate 1700 when I did mileage like that. It's very doable with exercise. Without I would have struggled quite a bit…

It could be that you are leaking protein through your kidneys. Hence the reduction in red meat etc. Ask your dr directly for information.

I will plan to count for the rest of my life. I know that if I stop, I'll drift upwards.

Personally, I would check with the doctor, but I know that if I don't eat some protein in a meal and I'm busy, then I get light headed. I have to have protein in each meal and avoid eating only carbs and fats. But get checked out and check out your meal choices and adjust them as necessary. I'm 5'10 and have lost on a net…

Personally I avoid anything by Rick Warren. He often takes the Bible out of context and uses verses from a variety of translations to confuse and twist the Word. If you want to fast, choose something to fast from and pray about according to your conscience and read the Word in its proper context. God Bless.

OP... you can lose the weight by applying CICO. God has created our bodies to work in a wonderful way and you can lean on Him for strength to do what is needed. I have lost 70 lbs and so can you :) God is good and true. ;)

I would guess water weight, but I would be concerned that you are eating enough to cover that running and meeting a minimum amount of calories net.

My BMI is 22.1. I have lost 66lbs eating 1200 calories net after my exercise. I usually get 2-6 miles per day walking or running so I will eat 1200 to1800 a day depending on my exercise level or lack thereof. I am 5'10.5" and in my forties. If it weren't for adding exercise calories, it would be difficult. I have found…

I allow myself a certain amount and usually will keep mostly to what I fix ( I love making candy) and say no to a lot of stuff... It's hard because the yummies are everywhere, but allowing myself some that I have made in my calorie allowance each day makes the biggest difference. I weigh the worth in calories/miles... is…

Aside form going out for walks and runs, I have successfully done Leslie Sansone's walk videos. They are great and her workouts are gentle.

Exercise... go out for a walk, etc....., but I make sure I plan for my dinner and eat less earlier or make sure I get enough exercise to accommodate a larger breakfast or lunch. Otherwise as far as eating... beans and rice...

I lost 75 lbs 7 years ago and gained most of it back. I have now lost 50 lbs which I hope and plan to keep off and it has not been any more difficult than before.

I am hypo and have been untreated for a while. I just went back to the dr to get back on armour for other reasons. But... 4 months ago I decided to start losing weight and have lost 33 lbs by following the caloric settings here on MFP. I try to net 1200 calories a day but also walk and run so that I can eat higher…

When I had my back go out I used a corset and walked with it on... it helped tremendously. I know it's not a popular idea but it helped me out..... definitely getting that weight off will be beneficial.

I'm 200 lbs and 5'10" I estimate 100 calories per mile and it has been working fine for me. There are calculators at runner's world and other places to help you out.

I'm not sure what your starting weight was to not see a difference with 20 lbs. For me I have lost 30 lbs and am now just starting to go down a size. I started at 220 and am at 190.... it can be difficult to see the scale go up a lb or 2 and then down and up and down... but as long as the trend is down, it's a victory. If…
