Probably not that healthy, but I have a cup of sugar free hot chocolate (Nestle), 25 cal./packet. Helps satisfy my sweet tooth

In terms if weight loss, I read an article from The Mayo Clinic that said as a general guideline 10,000 steps maintains weight, 15,000 steps (I am a walker) helps weight loss while dieting. With that said, in terms of health (along with diet) I consider exercise as the universal drug that helps your every part of our body.…

Obviously people think I am losing weight incorrectly, find my post somewhat offensive, and I do not accurately log my food (which I do). I will therefore, probably to the relief of many, will divert to the experts, scientists and mathmetician posters and will no longer be participating on the MFP Community Boards.

I don't eat the exercise calories either since I also always gain. I have been on 1200 calories for 5 months and have lost 23 lbs (4.6 lbs/month). It is a slow go and not linear. I have also adjusted my macros to see what works for me, everyone is different. I try to keep my carbs below 100, my proteins to a max of 8 oz.…

I use Mission Carb Balance whole wheat tortillas. One only has 70 calories and a whopping 15g of fiber. I eat one daily for a wrap, taco or just plain to ensure I meet my daily fiber needs

I am exactly your height and weight and have been on a 1200 calorie diet since January. I also walk 5-7 miles per day weather permitting. So far I have lost 21lbs. Key for me is pre-planning and logging all of my meals. Each morning I start planning my meals starting with Dinner because it is usually my highest calorie…

Low Country Boil - Popular here in the South. You just boil everything in the same pot. In a large pot, fill half way with water with a packet of crab boil and bring to a boil. Throw in desired amount of small red potatoes and boil until almost done, throw in shucked corn on the cob (cut in half) and bring to a boil, cook…

I tried intermittent fasting and didn't find that it made much of a difference. Besides, I got really hungry not eating before 11 or noon. People say you get use to it but I was not successful and I got tired of always being hungry, plus I missed having my morning egg and toast. I went back to just keeping to my daily…

I weigh everyday at the same time. I find it keeps me motivated on a daily basis. I accepted I am not one of the fast losers and weight is going to change plus or minus 2 lbs for me on a daily basis. I look at the trend. If my weight is the same or a little bit more it keeps me on track with my diet. But everyone's…

Wow I am impressed! I am doing exactly as you, ie, 1200 cal/day and I walk 5-6miles (1.5 hours) daily and I have only lost 17lbs since Jan. 14th. I think I could eat ice cubes and not lose weight that fast. Anyway, congratulations and great work!

I have cut way back on wine, eat very little red meat, eat more fiber, basically live on simple meals that are easily weighed, no sauces (except marinara) and watch my fat intake. Eat at home a lot more.

Yes, I adjust/changeup the veggies, fruit, protein and portion sizes for variety and to reach my 1200 cal/per day. Now I am no longer tempted for just "a little bit" more of a 4-6 serving size recipe.

I use 1/2 cup (approx. 60g) of brown rice as a standard size for me. I adjust amount to fit my daily calorie and carb intake.

Breakfast: 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/2 cup fresh pineapple Lunch: 1 low carb wrap, 3oz chicken, 1/4 avocado, salsa, 1 medium nectarine Dinner: 1/2cup (70 grams) whole wheat penne pasta, 1/3 cup marinara sauce, 1 T Parm Cheese, 4 jumbo shrimp, salad with Skinnygirl dressing. Snack: 1/4 cup mixed nuts, 2 T dried…

Amount of protein and how it correlates to weight loss has always been confusing to me. Seems like a lot of products are pushing high protein content. When I have had problems losing weight I have been told to cut back on protein (weight watchers). Everything I read says for women 60 grams per day is all that is required…

Any Skinnytaste soup recipe made in my instant pot is good (just be careful to add any dairy after it has stopped cooking). I especially like the Cauliflower Soup! Only 80 calories per 1-1/2cups. You can find recipes on Pinterest

Thank you everyone. I obviously am not up to speed like many of you on the features of this site (ie, I have no idea what an OP is), but I will follow tinker bell's advise.

Hate to sound like a dummy but how do I do that?

I try and eat 25-30 grams of fiber per day for digestive health (per doctor's recommendation). For a big boost I eat Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Wraps/Tortillas. They have a whopping 15 grams of fiber with only 70 cal./18 carbs per tortilla (and they are big!). They are very filling and make a good snack. I supplement…

Skinnygirl Balsamic Vinaigrette only 5 calories/2 Tablespoons. Skinnygirl Honey Dijon is 10 calories/2 Tablespoons. I buy mine at Publix and I like it. Add a little artificial sweetener and it tastes even better.

I like frozen meals fine, but they are loaded with salt and I need to watch my intake. But if it fits in my daily macros I have no problems

I am on a 1200 calorie diet and also seem to always feel hungry. I find drinking 2 cups of water before meals helps somewhat. When I get hungry I tend to try and eat high fiber food snacks (carb counter, 100% whole wheat tortilla is only 60 calories, 11 g fiber) and is very satisfying. Also I have 1 tsp. peanut butter…

I count them because I try to achieve 30 grams of fiber per day and stay within 60 grams protein per day on my 1200 calorie diet. Many vegetables significantly contribute to these nutrients.
