  • Worked out early and HARD as I knew going out for lunch would blow my calorie budget. Hoping it didn't send me too far off track and will be posting another loss next week 🤞🏻
  • So close to your goal, you are smashing this!
  • @Kitri2020 that is the other good thing about running, just out the door and off you go. I will try tomorrow morning to run off this afternoon's excesses 🫣
  • Hmmm mostly liquid... Was quite good on menu choices but complicated and not worth logging in the circs, have logged the champagne though. Will see how it all shows up on scales next few days. Spring officially starts in a couple of weeks, but shorts outdoors here would be brave before May!
  • 167 on Mar 4, so down 3 lbs in first week Second week always tougher How are you doing?
  • I'm out for lunch today and no online menu so might find myself doing this. Decent deficit from last couple of days though and I worked out this morning so hopefully won't put me too much off track 🤞🏻 Hoping to fit back into my running shorts by the time we get some spring weather here in the UK!
  • @phreekles7 I wish I knew, I have 20+ pounds of emotional eating weight to lose. Can you fit some chocolate within your calorie goals and really enjoy it when you do? @Paz922 glad to hear about your great day. Are you a Spanish speaker? Buenos dias! My Spanish doesn't go much further than that, your English puts me to…
  • @SherryRueter - that's so true about eating when hungry. I think part of my problem though is I got into my head that I couldn't be hungry, that I had to eat immediately I felt my stomach rumble. Which does not lead to healthy choices. So part of getting back on track for me, as well as logging to understand what I'm…
  • Tiny, tiny NSV for me, but still - only been back a week and a wise person once told me to only measure once a month as you won't see much progress in a week and it's discouraging. But I measured my waist anyway, and it's 0.5cm (1/4 inch) down. Only 5 3/4 inches to go...
  • Me 100%! I am working on putting less on the plate to start with!
  • That's amazing, well done! I've just started running again but I'm a lot further from my goal weight than you are and carrying that extra weight around is a struggle. Does motivate me to want to lose it though, and as you say feel stronger and sexier. How often do you run and how far? I used to do a regular 5k (3 miles)…
  • That's so cool, do you play in an orchestra? I always find it hard planning around doing stuff in the evening, taking food with you is such a good idea. I was out for dinner on Saturday night and I managed it by checking the menu online first so I could plan what to eat there and for the rest of the day to keep on target.…
  • Thank you! That suggests 67.5-70.5kg for me, so around 150lb, which is definitely where I'd like to be, so I'll stick with that for now. Good luck with your weight loss and fitting into that size 10, and @Kitri2020 hope you enjoy finding those muscles, it's so much easier to work out when you're carrying fewer pounds isn't…
  • Great to meet you Marcy! I love swimming too, but it's too cold here for much more than a dip at the moment so I'm relying on running and rowing (machine) for my cardio, looking forward to that getting easier once I've shifted a few of the extra pounds I'm carrying. Well done on reaching your goal weight, you must be…
  • Thanks @tatilove1988! That smoothie thread is great, thank you for posting it. I did my run - WIN - despite the CHALLENGE of how, ahem, figure-hugging all my running kit is just now. All part of the wake up call I guess. Grateful today for a new week, hope it's a good one for everyone!
  • Weigh In Day: Monday 4 March PW: 170 CW: 167.4 LOSS: 2.6lb I always find the first few pounds are the easiest, 🤞 this time I can keep going and fit into some of those shorts by summer!
  • Thank you both for replying! @Corina1143 what calculator do you use? I guess it is all ultimately about finding what works for you rather than be hung up on a number: I'll be able to see when I lose the wobbly bits, know when my clothes fit better, but I also feel I need a number to shoot for somehow.
  • @BodyTalking I really hear you about the clothes not fitting. I've been wearing the same pair of forgiving jeans all winter, went to put on some smart spring trousers yesterday and it was obvious where those extra 20 pounds are sitting 😞 And going for a run today for first time in a while, only one pair of leggings fit and…
  • @ScienceofTeaching sounds like you are doing great, hope the show goes well, what do you play? That is exactly what I feel about foregoing the scale while gaining weight, I was 5-10 (ok 10) above my goal weight (ok above top of my goal weight range) for quite a while, weighing semi-regularly, then couldn't face it for a…
  • Welcome new people, this is such a great group! What is your first language @Paz922? Your English is excellent. Congratulations to you and @tatilove1988 for resisting temptation! I did not stick to two slices of pizza BUT my win for yesterday was checking the menu in advance, choosing what to eat, sticking to it and…
  • @SherryRueter totally get what you're saying about weighing in. I know it's not for everyone but I find making it part of my morning routine every day - get up, go to bathroom, weigh, clean teeth, log weight - makes it less of a big deal.
  • @Paz922 good morning! Well done on the logging, good luck resisting the cookies 🍪 Today I am grateful to be spending the day with friends (but first a row!) Wins - reduced portion of pasta last night and it was enough Challenges - pizza restaurant tonight, so calorie budget is out the window. Will try to compensate…
  • Hi @Paz922 , I'm so glad your daughter's doing better. And it's great that you have the graduation to look forward to! I guess I got less active as a result of the pandemic and then caring responsibilities, but didn't eat any less. Last year has been tough and I've compensated with biscuits and cake. I sort of knew I was…
  • Hi @blu123artworks I know how you feel, I sort of knew which was why I was putting off weighing but finally bit the bullet and it's 15 pounds for me too. It's a shock isn't it! Like @wiiteefanplay I never thought it would happen to me. So I'm with you on no more excuses, logging everything, working out every day. I was 170…
  • @Paz922 logging really is key isn't it, to keep the focus on what you're eating and where the extra calories are creeping in. That's so great that you lost 15lb before, how long did it take to lose/gain and what changes did you make?
  • Hi everyone *waves* I'm also 48, have a full time demanding job, and looking to get my middle aged spread under control before it gets me. Weighed myself for the first time in *a while* last week and while I am still (just) in the healthy BMI range that's 20 pounds more than when I was at my fittest - and more flab, less…
  • You are both doing so well! I am 48 years old, 5'11" and currently my highest weight ever - 170lb. Which I know isn't crazy, but it's gradually crept up from 150 10 years ago and I feel flabby and horrible. So here we go: SW - 170 Highest weight - 170 March GW - 165 Final GW - 150 (a girl can dream...) Goals for March: -…
  • It is pouring with rain today, very grateful to have a rowing machine at home so I don't have to go out in it! Wins - have worked out 4 days in a row Challenges - I was SO FAR over my calorie budget yesterday, need to relearn portion control How is everyone else getting on?
  • March Start Weight: 76.3kg = 168lb (29 Feb) March Goal Weight: 74kg = 163lb Ultimate Goal Weight: 68kg = 150lb March 1: 76.2kg = 168.6 lb March 8: March 15: March 22: March 29: March 31:
  • Hi, how are you getting on? I am also approaching 50 and finding the same!
