  • I am having this problem, Garmin and MFP are not playing nice. MFP is telling me I have a crazy amount of calories for today like 2,850. My total burn for today is 3602, that is not a 1000 calorie deficit as it should be. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  • OH Yeah One bars (maple doughnut and peanut butter pie) and B up bars (red velvet cupcake and peanut butter) low sugar high fiber and protein and I like them. Powder I am way pickier about, I like Whey Gourmet (after trying a lot) finding most too artificially sweet or steevia flavoured. A lot of bars have 10 + grams of…
  • I have been stalled for about a week, not too long. I agree about the difficulty with accurate numbers, I like to leave at least 100 cal a day for discrepancies like a bit extra mayo.
  • Carbs have nothing to do with gallbladder attacks or bathroom urgencies. Fat is the only trigger for bile from the gallbladder. Pre-gallbladder removal I had brutal attacks sometimes brought on by a very small amount of fat. Post-gallbladder removal I have bathroom urgencies if I eat too much fat in one go. I personally…
  • I can personally eat moderate amounts of fat as long as it is balanced with fiber and protein. Honestly the foods that trigger my lack of gallbladder issues are foods I shouldn't be eating anyway, ie deep fried anything. Butter, avocado, olive oil, coconut milk don't seems to bother me but it could be quantity related.
  • No it does not help the liver flush out the fat. Liver function doesn't change after gallbladder removal. The way bile is delivered to your digestive tract changes. Don't eat large fatty meals and you should be fine. I had mine removed years ago and I have learned large fatty meals especially on an empty stomach will…
  • I never weigh myself during TOM, I know it's just normal fluctuations but I still find it discouraging.
  • Could you be pregnant? No period does not always mean not ovulating.
  • Basically H and or O molecules in water are completely or partially replaced with a non radioactive isotope of that element. The isotope concentration is then measured from bodily fluids, (pee mostly). Based on the rate of elimination of the isotope a very accurate base metabolic rate can be calculated. Google John…
  • I ended up losing just over 2 lbs in this week so I know eating about half of my exercise calories back still results in a good deficit.
  • So true!. The food I was eating was terrible. Worst eating habits ever. Now I try to do just that, but on days where I don't work my daily burn is way less and I tend to focus on what I can do to burn more calories so I can eat more than 1,500. I have a long way to go in permanently getting to a better place mentally food…
  • I work as a grower in a greenhouse and then 60 min of HIIT or cardio. Lets just say activity hasn't been my problem. Tomorrow is weigh day so we shall see as I have had a busy week. If I have lost more than 2 or not as much as expected I will have reevaluate what I have been doing.
  • I am losing weight, not super fast I would say on average 1.5 a week as it does fluctuate with hormones and kittens. I have a physical job and then on workout days or long days with Tball coaching ect 4,000 burn is really not a lot for me.
  • So what do people using fitness trackers set their activity to? It was on sedentary but it was suggested I change it to active.
  • My phone is not linked, I USB my Garmin into my laptop and the end of everyday. MFP profile activity is set to active, I don't let MFP calculate calories for any workouts my Garmin HR does all that. While I eat back some fitness calories I have never got close to 3,000.
  • It's from an activity tracker, I am set to active on MFP
  • I never eat less than 1,200 calories. I would be a hangry nightmare lol
  • These are a few things that I figured out for myself to help and to prevent feeling discouraged Don't weigh yourself everyday Don't weigh yourself during your period Eat maintenance calories during your period Don't leave the house hungry Keep snacks in your purse Meal plan ahead Don't feel guilty it's about long term…
  • Ya me too, I don't know where the obese/overweight line is but I think a good bit of my burn is for breathing, moving my blood around important stuff like that.
  • Yay parfait! I don't worry so much now that I'm actually doing something to make myself healthier it's way less stressful. Honestly I just had a bad relationship with food and since I broke up with beef it has been a lot easier to not drive thru on my way home while eating my feelings
  • I think I will forever now just be working out so I can eat lol I feel the same way I look nothing like them, so over being the fat tall sister lol
  • I have to say your hourglass shape is amazing, my Mom and sisters are all about 5 ft 3 I always wished to be petite
  • I walk a sad amount of steps like 6K average, somehow but manage a 3700-4000 burn on a non workout day. I think because when I am walking I'm usually dragging heavy crap around or climbing up on stuff.
  • I'm not super worried about the steps, it definitely sucks at stairs, never gets those right.
  • I think my Garmin HR sucks at counting my steps sometimes it tells me to move when I am moving, I guess I'm just not moving "correctly".
  • I looking for a vanilla meal replacement powder or protein powder that tastes good, if you know one let me know. I have to use unsweetened plain greek yogurt in smoothies just to cut the over sweet fake taste of most vanilla flavours
  • Food porn!
  • 3K for 18K steps whoa that's a lot of steps!
  • I agree with the greek yogurt, I love it in my smoothies too
