@Mithridites it’s fine, honestly, forgotten already. I’m getting my *kitten* in gear, the scales have become a permanent fixture on my counter over the past few days and I bought containers to prep my food so I do this properly. Otherwise I’m only kidding myself. I ll read up on the sticky posts, thanks for the feedback,…

I can see this is something I really need to tighten up on. Thanks again for taking the time to reply, I appreciate the constructive feedback.

By one carb a day I meant brown bread/pasta/rice/oatmeal/potato with a meal. If I’m using say, a half a tin of 400g tomatoes, I log that as 200g of tinned tomatoes. Should I be weighing those out too? Will just focusing on CICO help with the fat loss? Thanks

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I am weighing myself once a week at the same time in the morning just after waking up. I’m not logging the strength sessions on mfp but I am concerned that I may be eating back calories on those days. I have a scales and I weigh carbs, I’m trying to keep it to one carb a day at the…

I’m 40, initially it hit me like a train, am I happy where I’m at? Is this it? Where do I want to go from here?. I’m feeling positive and motivated and I enjoy that I’m not as run down as my thirties and I have the opportunity to focus on my own goals properly again!

I completely understand where you are coming from. I go to a gym directly after work, I love it and they do great fitness classes in the evenings. As I live in a very rural location I would have to devote 2,1/2 hrs to getting there doing the class and coming home. I have tried this but I found it unsustainable long term.…

[quote="janejellyroll; Where did you get that information? An average glass of wine has about 4 carbohydrates (styles can vary), so we're talking maybe 20-25 carbohydrates a bottle. An average loaf of bread, on the other hand, has about 240 grams of carbohydrates (assuming a 14-inch loaf of french bread). Not even close.…

So he can contact you whenever he wants....that's nice for him, he gets the best of both worlds, but I don't see what's in it for you? Time to focus on you. I don't want this to come across as harsh but he s not at home crying about you. Buy yourself a nice top/shoes/bag/make up whatever makes you feel good and plan a trip…

Two reasons. The first is self care. I feel better in myself and I think I'm a much nicer person to be about when I'm eating well and exercising. The second is my boys. Children are said be be significantly more active if they have an active parent. That percentage goes through the roof if more than one parent is active…

Well if you have been putting in the work, which you have, it is going to show. It will show in your mood, your skin, your improved lifestyle and in toning up, not just on a scales. Keep going! You're doing great!
