I was diagnosed with Hashis/hypothyroid Oct 2016. Once I was medicated for a few months, everything seemed to fall into place for me. Started getting serious about weight loss that January and though it’s been a long, slow journey I’m getting close to goal. :) It is possible.

80DO day #11 AAA today. Starting to drain like freaking crazy today, which is both good and annoying. I’ll take it over repetitive unproductive painful coughs though I guess! :D It made getting through the workout a lot easier. Woohoo!

It’s not been long enough to be considered a plateau. If you don’t lose anything in 6 weeks, then you may need to adjust. Weight loss is not always linear. Salad in a jar, or some kind of meal prepped combo of carbs/protein/veggies/fat. Taco salad is a fave. Sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown rice for carbs. Ughhhg I schedule colonoscopies and wouldn’t dream of giving a patient Golytely...unless they’re very elderly or have severe kidney issues. They’ve come a loooong way in preps. The one I give the most is Clenpiq. 2 5.4 Oz of liquid that come pre-mixed. Slug it down 6 hrs apart from each other. Bam.

I’ve had my focus on many mini goals through the 65 lbs I’ve lost. Right now it’s getting down into a size 10 jeans! I’m a comfortable, somewhat loose 12 right now...haven’t been a 10 since high school.

A bowl with beans, chicken, loaded up with veggies and a dollop of guac. No cheese, no rice. Well...that’s always my order anyway. You don’t have to be me. Get what you want within reason, track it and move forward. Even if you go over once it won’t affect your long term progress. Enjoy your time with your friend.

We got like 10 inches! Snowpocalypse was all ICE and no fun. No driving for like five days. This was actually pretty good, save for the power outages and snapped tree branches EVERYWHERE. I wasn’t in Georgia for the Blizzard of ‘93 either. I came down to Georgia later that year as a baby.

Do you take regular progress pictures? Take your measurements? Notice the difference in the fit of your clothing? Sometimes I don’t “see it” in the mirror but the picture evidence is overwhelming! Hang in there.
