Personally I do not eat meat for ethical and moral reasons. Plus, it's way too easy to get protein without meat (and you also avoid a lot of cholesterol and fat!) You should do what you think is right for YOU based on YOUR decisions, no one else's.

I would try measurements rather than weight. Exercise could possibly lead to muscle gain and fat loss which may cause some weight gain but you'll still be smaller. Sure have! It's really up to each individual person and what works best for them. But I focus on GOOD carbs - fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans. No processed garbage. I'm down 25 pounds!
