Bread is a macro nutrient (good quality bread anyway) Fruits are micronutrients. Starchy carbs (potatoes, pasta, rice, bread) will fill you up for longer, and I find bananas do this too. If you want a quick fix of energy fruit and veg is the way to go.

I buy a big bag of trail mix and then weigh out a 15 or 20g portion. Eat each piece one at a time while you are at your desk and wait a few seconds before eating the next bit! it's my trick. 15g of the brand I buy (tescos uk) is only 76 calories.

I take Glucosamine sulphate for my joints (I get really clicky joints) vitamin C for my immune system and B complex for energy. That's it but I want to start using protein powder and omega 3 fish oil

Hiya I added you! I'm trying to lose 1 stone. Lost 7 pounds so far. I work out daily just walking my dog, walking to work and occaisionally running and small amount of strength training!

Thanks guys. I'm not a vegetarian but don't eat much meat and if I do only at dinner. I don't each much dairy either. I think I will try to add more protein and potatoes/other starch in instead of so much fruit. I do weigh everything I eat, I just have a tablespoon or so of peanut butter I try to keep really accurate

1200 is what mfp gave me - have a sedentary job but I try and do a lot of exercise - walking every night, walking to work and back. running a few times a week. I've got 1327 today I guess from exercise on top? thanks
