My advice, if you're going to drink diet soda, try one that doesn't have the aspartame in it, like diet Pepsi or diet coke with splenda.

I work in a call center environment, I couldn't pick out the absolute dumbest thing if I wanted to because a majority of it is ridiculousness that spews from the mouths of the customers

I have the same issue, I've found adding things like almonds and yogurt with a bottle of water rather than my usual chips and soda have made wonderful snack replacements.
