I try to eat my recommendation plus 75% of exercize calories. Sometimes I go higher, sometimes lower depending on how I feel during the day.

LOL, yep. I might be going a little slower, making some ugly faces, weird sounds, I'm even complaining the whole time, but I still do it.

Hates eating healthy

Tuna salad: 1 can tuna, 1 hard boiled egg, 1Tablespoon mustard, 1 tablespoon salsa. Place on bed of spinach leaves. Eat. I hard boiled my eggs a dozen at a time for quick prep.

Well, then change your goal to "maintenance".

Well, since Friday morning I've been battling a nasty stomach bug. Today, all better - back to the gym! Being legitimately sick is a reason, not excuse, to avoid working out, especially a stomach bug - don't need that going horribly wrong on a squat!

Depends on the person, someone who is 5' tall in heels is going to need a lot less calories a day than someone who is an easy 6' tall. Also, dietary habits play a big part. Some people consume half thier calories in "junk foods": soda, candy, chips,. While others stick to a very disciplined healthy diet in which 1200…

Hi! Feel free to add me

That's why I have mini size packages of gummy bears with me at the gym (I tried the orange thing, forgot it was in my gym bag and went on vacation, for a month...I bought a new bag). The mini bags of Haribo's have a whopping 35 calories, but all sugar (and maybe 1% food coloring).

There can be multiple reasons: 1. You're not eating enough 2. You're not drinking enough water 3. You're not getting enough nutrion out of your food (protien, fat, vitamins, iron - one of the symptoms of anemia is dizziness/lightheadedness) 4. If none of the above, see a doctor.

At least it's a good reason to have to buy new clothes. Although the first time you have to shop in normal sizes vs plus sizes can be a bit overwhelming, so many choices!

Very true, new members also probably haven't figured out how to navigate this site very well. Think of how many "how do I log exercize?", or "how do I post a picture?" threads there are. My grandma told me once, to treat everyone as if it was thier first day doing something. (She was right, grandma's generally are).

You need to reward yourself with a spa day. I was told this one, didn't understand why.... It's because now the fancy spa bathrobes that were all too small, FIT!!!! Besides, who couldn't use a spa day.

It may be, for someone that isn't new. Many people have seen this thread a lot, but for someone just starting out and trying figure out what to do, this is information they can use. I know when I hit bottom and decided to lose weight, I didn't know the importance CICO, what "macros" or "micros" were. Also, remember common…

Or first time doing walking lunges. I remember the morning after that the first time I did them......oh, holy hell!!!! So that's what DOMS are

Eat, walk, massage, very gentle stretching (just to where you feel it), ice (bags of frozen peas work great!).

Sounds like an 8 hour wait just to get in while waiting to see my friend puke because I know she gets severe motion sickness. Would make the TSA look efficient.

With your stats, most likely. Aim for that for a month then, reweigh yourself. If you're losing weight, you know it's good, if not, cut back accordingly.

Baking chocolate (100% pure cocoa). The smell is enough to cure my craving as taking a bit from it is pretty terrible. That's my solution for myself.

If it's something you don't do on a regular basis: ie move the fridge and stove and scub behind/under. Then yes, log it. If it's part of your everyday routine, that is part of your activity level.

If you are having a hard time curbing the habit. Eat fewer calories during the day to balance out what you eat at night. Also, I find that when I eat dinner right before bed, I sleep better and don't wake up hungry.

I budget in my "snacks" as part of my daily eating habits. I buy bulk snacks and divide them up into 1oz servings so I can easily add them. I also find that if I go more than a few hours without eating something (piece of fruits, carrot sticks, goldfish crackers....) I get really irritable.

Dove's 48 hour last me my entire workout, it does not however last 48 hours, I will shower it off well before testing the "48 hour" claim.

MFP isn't very accurate on the micronutrients. If you are checking the iron levels of your food independently and still lacking iron, a good multivitamin with iron should help. Meat (beef, poultry, fish), lentils, and leafy greens are all high in iron.

I've know people that had incredible success, and people with massive failures. WLS forces you to eat less so you end up in a calorie deficit. If you do not change your lifestyle particularly high calorie foods, it'll be a short term and other than the sleeve, irreversible solution. If you can change your lifestyle, then…

The less body fat you have, the harder it is to lose. Setting a very aggressive goal to lose risks under nourishing. According to my dietitian (registered dietician, not nutritionist), one of the reasons why under 1200 calories a day is so bad is that it is incredibly difficult to get all the nutrients your body needs in…

Dear everyone that said I couldn't: FU! Under 180 and still dropping. HA! (Particularly my a-hole ex).

1. Congratulations on taking the first step, you are way ahead of so many 2. Change is hard 3. You seem to be overwhelming yourself by trying to change everything at once. 4. Fix one thing at a time. Work on one problem, until it's no longer a problem My recommendation: start with nutrition. (You cannot out train a bad…

I keep a lot of my baking goods in canister's. My absolute worst disaster was mixing up the salt & sugar for cookies. Another disaster was thinking that I could use spaghetti squash as a substitute for pasta spaghetti in a spaghetti bolonges....nope!!! Ended up with lumpy, soupy nastiness.
