  • You can add me too. I am 25. I have lost about 40 so far. From 223-183.
  • I've lost almost 40, but would love to lose at least 35 more. Add me!
  • The meal plan is slightly different and the workouts are a little bit more intense. For example, it has a lptpre plyo movements.
  • Mine are Xtreme. About 20$ on Amazon. I've been using them for about 6 months. They've stretched a tiny bit. When I noticed I bought a new set, and even after 6 months of daily use the stretch is only a few mm. And Bo tears yet. Also, I found bands so hard to work with at first. If your resistance is too low they roll, so…
  • The polar A360 is also a great idea if you want the most accuracy without a chest strap. If you look up revivestronger or Dr.eddiejo on Instagram they both posted an infographic of findings from a new study on popular fitness trackers.
  • I use a polar H7. The newer version is an H10. Several websites say it's the best and most reliable on the market. It's not too expensive either and I find it super comfortable. I use it with the wristwatch but it also connects to an app by itself so you don't really need the watch if you don't want it.

  • Of course it's subjective. Obviously you prefer coffee and I prefer preworkout. I was simply stating why I prefer preworkout and why my choices may not be the same as someone else's. The thing I hate most about the fitness industry is that so many people think their way is the only way, their product is the best product,…
  • Agreed. I think it can be seen as unhealthy because people who are in the right mindset and weigh themselves daily are often less vocal about it. Most often I hear of people weighing themselves daily and then those same people will be there type to say "I ate pizza and gained 8lbs" and panic. Similarly, for me at the…
  • It's possible, sure. But why would I do that when I can take preworkout and feel so much better. If you don't want to use it you don't have to.
  • Yah but the difference is preworkout is enjoyable. Coffee hurts my stomach, I would have to take the time to make it and drink it in the morning (couldn't leave it beside my bed), and generally I can only stomach it with more milk and sugar than actual coffee. And although the caffeine is the same, I feel so much better…
  • I swear by my preworkout. I workout in the morning super early and so without it I'd never get up. I keep it by my bed so when my alarm goes off I can quickly shake it up and then by the time I put my workout clothes on it's started to kick in. Coffee would likely work too but I couldn't keep it by my bed and it would…
  • How many calories were you eating and how much weight do you need to lose? The tricky part is the lower the weight you need to lose, the slower it comes off and the less calories you need to consume to lose weight. This is likely part of the issue if you're already at a healthy weight. Also, it isn't necessarily clear how…
  • I am someone who always weighs my food to track and I was pleasantly surprised that when I fill the containers I'm getting so close to what I would have been getting before when I was weighing things. For example, almost every time I fill the green or purple it's about 140-160 grams. And it's almost always closer to 150.
  • First of all, if you think this person is new why are you trying to confuse her. The reality is the majority of major gyms, fitness programs, and trainers use HIIT to describe circuit training or interval training which is likely what they were referring to. The thing about weight loss is that nutrition controls how much…
  • I follow the Obsession meal plan, but I was worried about the calories because I had found a perfect number of calories for me to have steady progress and I didn't want to mess it up. So I filled my containers and then checked them on MFP by weight and I was almost identical to what I was eating before. I think the only…
  • I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow too! I'm assuming I'll likely counteract some of the calories from the holidays simply because i wont be eating solid foods But also keep in mind that your body is healing and it needs calories to do so. When I had four teeth out for my braces I really didn't lose any weight because…
  • I love body pump! I feel so strong and powerful at the end of every class. It burns a tonne of calories. But, it is low weight, high rep so it is good cardio and it helps build/maintain muscles but you likely won't be able to build a lot of muscle.
  • When I'm really sick I listen to my body. Which generally means exercising very little, getting plenty of rest, and eating very simple foods. However, when I'm starting to feel a bit better I do tend to make myself eat healthier foods and get in a light workout because i know in the long run it'll help me get better. But,…
  • When you slip up on a meal, don't stress. Eat normally for the rest of the day (even if it means going slightly over your calories). Not sure what time of day it is there but if you've eaten the majority of calories befote lunch and dinner you likely won't be able to stay below maintenance or even at maintenance and that's…
  • When you do new exercises or exercise intensly you cause micro tears in the muscle fibres. This is normal. But, this does cause inflammation as the body tries to respond to the tears to fix them (also how we build muscle), also the sugars that feed your muscles need water to do this. So, your body retains water. Over time…
  • I agree! I had to take it slow when I started logging. Eventually you will find what works for you. I generally eat the same thing for breakfast everhday (different flavors of homemade protein smoothie). Each week I make a salad for lunch. I decide on the ingredients a d because I live alone I buy the ingredients and don't…
  • Honestly, you may need to have a conversation with your mom and dinner could be ruining your progress. Depending on what she's making it can be really easy to go over. As difficult as those conversations are, I now have my family and friends helping me, and I know they won't be offended if I don't eat their food. For…
  • Not sure how much you are planning to spend, but I have Beachbody on demand. It's about $20 a month (there may even be a sale on right now) but it is 100% worth it. So many workouts, some low impact, others have a lot of jumping and things. Some ask you to have equipment, but it isn't necessarily important and you will get…
  • I still have about 50 to go. Add me!
  • Hi, I'm 25F, 5'1. SW: 223 CW: 193 GW: 140-150 I also enjoy humor, especially bad jokes or dark jokes where laughing is questionable.
  • Whether or not your pants size will change depends on where you're losing weightfrom. I've lost about 30lbs and only dropped one pant size because I've only lost a few inches from my hips. but, when I measure I've lost over 5 inches from my waist, 4 from my bust, and inches lost all over my legs, my arms, my neck, my…
  • 1. Don't deprive yourself too much. I keep some sweet foods in the house that won't take me too far from my goals like light hot chocolate, 110 calorie mini ice cream drumsticks, I put yogurts in the freezer. Things I can eat when I get those cravings. 2. Find other ways to deal with stress. Going for a walk, reqdinf,…
  • If you want someone you can chat with daily about goals and tips/accountability let me know! 1. Start slow: if you choose January 1st and say I'm never eating sugar, I'm never eating this or that etc., I'll work out every day, it's too much. Choose one thing to change first and remember it takes 21 days to make something a…
