  • So I've actually been trying something for the past couple days and it has been working for the most part. I wait to eat when my tummy grumbles and when it does I drink 2 cups of water and wait 30 minutes. If it keeps grumbling then I eat a sandwich with carrots and drink more water. I'm doing my best to only eat when I'm…
  • Yeah I keep going back and forth. 4% for me is about 6.5 pounds total so about 1.5 to 2 pounds a week. When I am 95% on my plan I can loose 4% easily. But with the fall backs of giving in to unhealthy choices it sets me back. That's why I thought money would help lol. What is StepBet?
  • I don't think I am because it says I only burn 200 for 45 minutes
  • Okay sorry i was wrong about the heart rate. I mainly do weightlifting. But I keep my heart rate up as I only rest for 10 seconds in between reps unless I'm building muscle and doing here weights then it becomes 30 to 60 seconds depending on how much weight I am lifting. I've had garmin vivofit hr but the problem being is…
  • Heart rate does equate to calorie burn because it tells you how intense you are pushing yourself. The higher zone your in the more calories you burn. A person walking does not burn the same as a person running because their heart rate levels are dramatically different. Regardless, I wanted to use a heart rate monitor…
  • Thanks guys! I'll definitely check out everything you guys suggested! Right now I do have potatoes and rice stocked up from when I was able to do 50 dollars a week. Eggs, oatmeal, pb&j, and frozen veggies are my life right now. But I love them all! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to post!
  • I have a dollar store and I shop at Wal-Mart add grocery outlet a lot. Probably none of the above. My work cut my hours and I go to school to 25 dollars is all I get
  • I just only have 25 dollars a week. Just bought eggs, frozen but cooked chicken, veggies, bread, oatmeal and a few processed foods. I usually eat eggs and oatmeal for breakfast. Pb&j for lunch and then dinner is what I feel like. I'm used to getting salmon, chicken, beef. But I had to make budget cuts. I should make a…
  • Okay! I've just never done TDEE and 1400 seemed like a lot. I just hope eating whatever macros will work too. I don't won't to focus on macros until I have the money for good protiens.

  • For daily activity I choose sedentary because in a normal day I don't get any higher than 4000 steps it's more like 830 steps Monday through Friday and 4000 steps Friday through Sunday. For exercise I did 5 days a week with 60 minutes at a moderate pace because I weightlift and I can talk after each set when I'm not in the…
  • Going into iifym.com calculator I did the iifym calculator instead of the TDEE calculator and it says my tdee is 1954 and a 25% deficit would but me at 1466. I did sedentary lifestyle with moderate exercise 5 days a week at 60 minutes. Do take note I am 5'1, that may be why it's low.
  • I will post a screen shot when I get home and can get on my computer. I figure I'm sedentary because aside from working on the weekends for 3 days a week for 4 hours and excersising 3 to 5 days a week for 30 to 60 minutes I am usually sitting. I am a college student so I usually sleep for 8 hours and am sitting for 14…
  • bmr is 1425 Tdee is 1817 assuming I workout 5 days a week for 50 minutes. that 400 calories deficit is what I want. I actually want 500 because I want to loose 1 pound a week. I heard you should never go BMR because then you do damage to your body so I figure I would eat there and work out till I got that 500 calories…
  • Diatamaceous earth is NOT safe for human consumption. You need to see a doctor. Unless it says food grade. I can just picture some poor soul buying DE at homedepot or Lowes and getting extremely sick.
  • Yes sodium can matter for different people but I guess I'm talking more About the sedentary price who don't exercise and stay inside all day while eating out. They're sodium levels can be dangerously high and won't know until it's too late. I live in a hot climate for 4 months out of the year and still try to only consume…
  • Which is where it should be. No people should be taking over what MFP recommends. But I know a lot of Americans like myself can be way over that number when eating whatever they want which is bad for the heart. So now I try not to go over what MPG recommends and am trying to get 1.5 to 2 gallons of water due to my high…
  • Mine is set to what I am, the only problem is my resting heart rate is 65 to 75 and when I am up and about my heart rate can reach 125 according to it.
  • I just turned off my activity tracking. The only thing I care about are the exercise calories. Not step calories.
  • Yeah mine is on 24/7 and I am not sure how to make it stop tacking on the steps calories. I think my BMR is pretty accurate (1694) but then it says with my 10,000 steps i must eat 1500 calories, yeah no. I am not eating 3000 calories a day I'd gain weight. When I exercise (did the stationary bike today for 30 minutes) and…
  • Lol that's ridiculous. Every article I found says weightlifting BOOSTS your metabolism and keeps it revd up longer than cardio does after your workout. BUT I recommend getting cardio 20 to 30 minutes in and doing resistance training (3×15 reps). Play around with how much your eating in calories and weigh everything. Itll…
  • Yes it's safe. I'm striving for 40 pounds by January. As long as you are not loosing anymore than 3 pounds per week (even 3 is pushing it) you're fine. Anymore than 3 and your basically loosing muscle too which is bad. The first couple weeks you might loose more than that but that's normal depending on your weight because…
  • Loose body fat you can loose body fat by maintaining weight. You'd just have to replace every bit of fat with muscle. Usually yes, if you ate not eating a lot of protein you will loose muscle. Most people don't even eat close to enough protein. I try to hit 108 to 125 grams of protein per day while I'm loosing weight. I…
  • Look up buffbunny collect! She also has an instagram about her clothing line. She made them squat proof.
  • Yeah my full day is 2507 calories. If I ate all of that I would gain weight. I'm small (5'0 to 5'1).
  • I have a garmin Vivo fit HR and for 8,000 steps it says I get around 1,100 calories. That too me seems like a huge amount. I even went through and put how many steps I take in x amount of steps. My job is physical (lifting often) but still lol.
  • Filled up my tank with gas and left money/cards at home. Can't buy anything without money.
