I eat rare meat all the time. No worms! 99.9% of the time in countries with high farming and butchery standards raw beef is totally fine. And raw fish.

Animal transfer I would think the more likely cause. *kitten* happens sometimes (pardon the pun), I think the alarming thing here is how long diagnosis took and treatment is taking.

I’m glad I noticed the worm in my stool at all, otherwise god only knows how much longer the diagnosis would have taken :// I still eat raw meats too, I love it too much and the way I see it, I already HAVE parasites soooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Check out diatomaceous earth that should help with most worm cases I know I have heard enough people talking about it when their kids get them from putting things in their mouths. Plus it has a few other benefits for over all health

?? I looked up diatomaceous earth on Wikipedia and here's what I found:

Diatomaceous earth consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of hard-shelled protist (chrysophytes). It is used as a filtration aid, mild abrasive in products including metal polishes and toothpaste, mechanical insecticide, absorbent for liquids, matting agent for coatings, reinforcing filler in plastics and rubber, anti-block in plastic films, porous support for chemical catalysts, cat litter, activator in blood clotting studies, a stabilizing component of dynamite, and a thermal insulator.

We use DE for our chickens, it keeps the parasites at bay and the poo off the eggs. I have never heard of it being used for human consumption, but

As a side note it is also useful for home insect control, dehydrates them. In addition to other users, very versatile.

I wish I had helpful advice for your OP, I hope that if has not resolved yet that it might resolved soon. Good luck and Happy New Year.

Oh yeah gotta agree. I stopped reading where the mild flu like symptoms you may experience after ingesting DE are the toxins leaving your body. I'm guessing that would be the DE itself...

Diatamaceous earth is NOT safe for human consumption. You need to see a doctor. Unless it says food grade. I can just picture some poor soul buying DE at homedepot or Lowes and getting extremely sick.

Please be aware there are 2 types of DE food grade is safe for humans and pets in small amounts taken by mouth . the industrial stuff is used for pool filters and should be handled with caution
