  • I do have two children, which makes me wonder if I've had this all along or if it happened after the birth of my second daughter(that's when all my problems started.) I appreciate your kind words and I hope you too find a way to deal with your endo. I know some people who struggle with that as well.
  • Thank you everyone for your support. I guess I just need to accept the fact that this is me and get started on getting healthier. My health has been out of whack for 9 months now and with the health problems already in my family, I don't want to live a life on medications and insulin.
  • First off, congrats on your weight loss! That's great that you could lose weight and the fact that health problems run in your family is also a great motivation. Diabetes definitely runs in my family too, so that's why it scared me more. I am currently 248 pounds and my goal is near yours-170. I've been "dieting" since as…
  • My doctor sucks. He came in, said "you have cysts on your ovaries and have PCOS. I'm gonna give you metformin and come back in 3 months." Then left the room. I couldn't even ask him any questions. I can't find a doctor that takes my insurance. Keto is not for me. But very informative article.
  • I did end up going back to the doctor and he did diagnose me with PCOS
  • It was pretty rough. Like I said I'm eating around 1700 but energy levels aren't too good. Are you still losing weight or done? How many calories do you eat?
  • Thank you! And I do use a kitchen scale but I appreciate your input!
  • Yes, I did just start on Friday. Before then I was eating under 1000 calories a day, losing 15 a month, then gaining it back and then some. Not the way to go. I'm getting about 8 hours of sleep but I do have a two year old and an 8 month old so that's not always the case lol. I don't exercise all that much, just running…
  • Hey! I know it's been a few months just wondering how the weight loss is going? Hope you're doing well!
  • Thank you!
  • No I'm not. Why haven't I had a period in 8 months other than once? I'm not breastfeeding. I did see my doctor on more than one occasion. He doesn't know what's going on other than blaming it on an 3cm ovarian cyst.
  • They were absolutely normal.
  • My doctor put me on vitamin d supplements. I'm only 23 btw so all theses health issues are strange for someone my age. I also got my gallbladder removed two years ago... What did the vitamin d do for you?
  • That's awesome, good luck on the rest of your journey!
  • Wow! So much great information thank you. If you don't mind my asking, how much were you when you started and how much did you lose? It gives me motivation to know that people who have been where I am have lost the weight so I can too!
  • Thank you, appreciate the tips!
  • By that I mean I've lost weight before, but I had a baby when I was still trying to lose. Going for 2100 calories for a few weeks sounds doable I just have no idea what to eat!
  • This is amazing!! Sounds so much like me, other than the breakup which I feel for you. Guys suck lol. What should I eat most days??
  • I just feel like 2100 calories is too much! When trying to lose weight I usually do 1200.
  • Btw, you guys are super fit!!! Were either if you ever overweight??
  • Thanks girls, I do have a good scale because I usually overdo it on meats, especially chicken breasts. What I thought was 4 ounces was actually 7-yikes! MFP says 2100 calories, I was planning on doing 1200. Is this too little??
  • Most people on here eat whatever they want as long as it fits their calorie goals. I have to have coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar and cream. Is this ok?
  • Yes I do have bad days which turn into bad weeks which turn to months and so forth. I've been trying to lose weight since February. I succeeded at losing 20 lbs then gained it back. Idk if it's because I have an infant and a toddler so I stress eat. Or I eat because I'm bored from being at home all day. I don't like going…
  • I understand, thanks for the input guys. I just feel so useless, like I'm just gonna keep gaining and gaining until I'm on an episode of "My 600 pound life"
  • I'm also mostly sedentary but I'm trying to exercise as much as I can with two little ones
  • Good, I just don't want one meal to ruin the whole week!
  • I did not mean that literally, but thanks. I'm aware of the side effects and like I said, only for a few months. Awesome, I'll keep that in mind! Exactly what I meant!
  • Thank you for the tips! Love this. This is awesome advice, thank you! I love this "banking" idea! I'm gonna start doing this, thank you!
  • I appreciate the tips, and I know 6 pounds a week is not realistic. I'm sure it came off quickly because it is my first week and it is water weight. Nevertheless, I'm only taking the phen for a few months, to shrink my stomach and to learn to eat better. Yes, I've assumed that as well which is why I'm gonna try to increase…
  • I've been trying to lose weight most of my adult life. I lost 30 pounds before having kids and I just had a baby 6 months ago. So I just started again about a week ago and I'm down 6 pounds so far.
