Plateaus. They will happen. Just rememeber you WILL break through you keep below your calories! They are frustrating because you'll feel like you are doing everything right without any results. Just push through. If it lasts more than 3-4 weeks, then try reducing calories and/or upping exercise.

Hey! I would like to lose weight for Halloween too! I'm actually planning to be Rose Quartz from Steven Universe (who is a rather curvy character anyway). But why not be a slimmer Rose? Lol. Let's do this!

When I originally started in June I was thinking by the end of this year. At the rate I'm going it will probably be closer to Feb-March of next year. Hopefully I keep a steady loaa of weight going!

I was promoted to a (mostly) desk job 2 years ago. It ended up being a huge stressor and I gained about 15-20 lbs of weight. I was unhappy in many ways. I got a wake up call when an old client took notice of my weight gain. I realized how much the stress really affected me (especially physically). I quit that job in April…

Hi! I'm 26. I started last year at 175 (then again in May of this year). I just got down to 166. My ultimate goal is also 135 and I'm hoping to get there by the end of this year (not a strict deadline though). I'd be happy to be your friend!

My original goal was to lose 40 lbs. I'm now down 9 lbs after 7 weeks. 31 to go!

Sodas. Drank it A LOT as a kid...now I rarely do. Alcohol. I used to drink every weekend. Now it's pretty rare (MAYBE once a month/every 2 months).

Getting a food scale is definitely on the to-do list! Thanks!

Well, my last one was getting into the 160's... I'm there now. Now my mini goal is to get down to where I was before I stopped using MFP before. A couple lbs to go!

How many calories do you eat on a cheat day? I found that my cheat days would set me back because I would eat way over my calories and erase all my progress, so I stopped having a cheat day. Also, are you measuring everything accurately? A lot of people on here suggest getting a food scale to make sure your measurements…

Time is a human-constructed idea. Your body doesn't "think" in terms of how many hours in a day or days in a week. The calorie recommendations are based on patterns that we have discovered will eventually lead to weightloss. Assigning a limit per day or week just helps people conceptualize and plan. The truth is, as long…

I laughed out loud at "human potato" lol. Good on ya! Get that hot bod!

I'll usually eat 2-3 eggs with an English muffin and some jam :)

Wow! Nice work! I'm starting to learn the whole "log EVERYTHING" rule...even when going over. Sometimes it's painful to see yourself go over but the information is helpful to have.

Today was 30 minutes of Zumba

I'm definitely more of a quality person. I love certain foods, so I'm willing to "save up" my calories for them or just eat them in smaller portions (ice cream, chocolate...). I usually stick to filling but less caloric foods during the day to save up some calories for a dessert at night :)

How much weight have you lost? I've heard you're supposed to recalculate your calories after losing about 10% of your body weight.
-
Your waist is so tiny! Great work!!!

That's good to know. I'm the kind of person who starts a project enthusiastically, but I lose steam quickly so I understand the struggles of motivation. I am luckily in the business of behavior change, which helps me a lot. :) I have to respectfully disagree with some comments above as my discipline teaches that motivation…
