Hello, I have my first prescription to collect with plan to start on Friday. I'm staying on Metformin, which surprised me, is anyone else taking additional meds? My last HbA1c was 81 and this morning's finger test was 15. Any words of advice for the first few days?

I'm having joint problems so started aquafit, it's my new favourite thing and much more of a workout than I thought it was going to be.

I'm type 2 diabetes and have been recommended this but they haven't implemented it yet. It's not cheating it's part of your weight loss plan. Best of luck, I'm not on tiktok (that's for the young-uns lol)

Yes please do, I'm on UK time but don't get notifications so send me a DM 😊

Can a mod please remove ThicTS they're posting explicit pics, I've removed them as spam but the profile pic is not good. I can't post a link from my phone.

I'm a volunteer spam zapper and I managed to get them all as soon as I noticed, there were 4 or 5 profiles and well over 200 posts and it took me nearly 2 hours. This is the first time in a long time the forum had been hit so aggressively but luckily I'm in the UK so spotted them early and staff have now banned the…

I'm zapping them as fast as I can but this user did over 40 and it takes some time to get through

https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/profile/viditop327 currently flooding with spam, I'm trying to get them all

I tried WW in lockdown as they were doing zoom meetings, I didn’t enjoy them as I found it a bit cliquey I didn’t get on with the points system either as I’m used to calorie counting. I do keep thinking of rejoining now they’re face to face as the weighing in each week and being accountable is quite motivating for me, and…

CICO, plain and simple :)

I went to my surgery's clinic and I now have to do my blood levels and there's another tablet coming. My level was 101 and they want to get it down ASAP, it's all a bit mind blowing at the moment but I'll have a good read through the group posts for more hints, tips and information.

Thanks for that, I’m not monitoring my glucose levels at home but I have a blood test booked for 3 months time.

Hello Everyone, I was diagnosed with type 2 yesterday so all of a sudden I have no idea what I'm doing! I had gestational diabetes 24yrs ago bit that disappeared as soon as my baby popped out and only lasted about 2 months. I've been put on metformin and told if I lose weight there's a chance it will be in remission. This…

I tried WW and didn’t like it, I find MFP is simple to understand. It’s all about the logging!

I too have modified recipes and it hasn’t affected past entries

I love Wordle, I usually solve it in 4 but the other day didn’t get it due to the volume of options Wordle 381 4/6 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

It happens from time to time, my fitbit won't sync at the moment either. I'm sure they will be working obit.

I weigh daily and log in an app as I too like to see data, it’s not for everyone though as you need to focus on the overall trend and not the daily results. If you think it would be demotivating to see small daily increases for absolutely no apparent reason when you’ve been on plan every day, followed by a sudden drop,…

I tried WW recently and didn't like it, the points system just doesn't make sense, I also tried Team RH and didn't like that much either, they're quite aggressive on exercise. This is my trusted tool, I eat something, I scan the barcode, weigh it, log it and I know how many calories I've eaten and how many I have left in…

My thought process is that if I'm paying for it I'm going to make sure I flipping well use it lol

I’m pleased you’ve found something that works for you, that’s really important if you’re going to stick to it and 6.6lbs is brilliant. Best of luck!

I signed up Sunday, and I don't like it, it's not what I expected at all, there's no 1-1 coaching. Their level of exercise to enable me to eat 2500 cals and lose weight is more than I can either commit to or achieve. I do enjoy his Facebook page though.
-
Thats a good point, I don't know what the rate of loss is in their calculations. I've been on here quite a few years now and track my burn rate on my fitbit, after reviewing my history I can't imagine a time where I can eat 2500cals every single day and lose weight.
-
It's a paid for weight loss programme based on CICO, the trainers are very blunt and matter of fact (which I do like). The type of advice they give is on a par with the forums so it isn't based on any fad and strongly encourages exercise. They promote MFP for logging all your food - and they make a big thing about logging…

I follow the Facebook page, not signed up yet but keep thinking about it.

Looks like this is sorted now

Great, I zapped most of them as spam and they disappeared but those last 2 just wouldn't clear, spam flag was 14 on one of them! It's 14:30 in the UK so I'm nearly done for the day - yay. Have a good day everyone.
