  • i will post this in hopes that people mind their own business and don't comment negatively on my post. i am so sick of all the naysayers on this board. but besides that, i don't know if this will apply to you, but i have been diagnosed with fatty liver and my boyfriend found a study that correlated fatty liver with a…
  • i used to always have chubby arms, no matter how skinny i got until i started working as a rural postal carrier. we had to deliver mail out of our own cars so it involved a lot of reaching out the passenger side window. after working there my arms got so skinny and the other women carriers who worked with me had scrawny…
  • i don't know the necessary dose of cinnamon, but i do know that i started drinking a small glass of red wine with dinner almost every day sort of following the DASH diet and my blood sugar dropped a lot. i never knew red wine had that effect but if you google it the internet does say drinking red wine helps control your…
  • sauteed cabbage, cabbage buns, cabbage and veggie soup, cole slaw. if any of these sound appealing let me know if you would like a recipe
  • well, i think going low protein for a while to see if it works isn't a bad idea. i read going low protein also helps your liver to heal itself. don't know if it's true or not. i don't see the harm in trying it out. it's the only way you will know if it works or not. i find it easy to put muscle on personally when i want…
  • use a spray and just coat the pan well or sautee instead using a little cooking wine
  • to change one detestable thing, instead of the more you eat the more weight you gain, it'd be the opposite. for time consuming, yes my house would always be sparkling clean and sanitized by itself as well.
  • OMG what an inspiration! You look great! And just so you know, I love your hair!
  • when i was nursing my mom made me this sweet peanut soup to eat that really got my milk flowing. i think it was just skinned raw peanuts boiled up with some water and sugar until they were nice and soft and the water got all creamy. high calorie and high fat too, perfect for milk production. if i remember correctly you…
  • under 300 is pretty difficult for something i'd call a meal, but here are a couple. two morningstar farms veggie sausages and a plate full of sauteed greens. a morningstar farms "chicken" patty on a light english muffin with a bit of mayo. i add sriracha to both the morningstar products.
  • sugar free jello with a little whipped cream yogurt with sliced almonds and whipped cream teeny bowl cereal
  • Kombucha is supposed to be loaded with probiotics. Yogurt has some but not that much. If you are interested in doing a course of serious probiotics I got a free sample full box of Align probiotics before and they worked wonders on my digestive system. I used to get constipated all the time and not anymore since I took…
  • stop buying junk/high calorie/low nutrient food. i think this is the first step in defense against excess weight. if you don't buy it, you won't have it to eat. if someone gifts you with some, throw it away or refuse it before the package gets opened. stock your kitchen with healthy foods that you like.
  • ha 1800?? try 1200 a day and see how cranky you get. that aside, are you exercising? that's a good way to get your calorie allowance upped for the day, plus if you are you could be gaining muscle which is heavier than fat.
  • don't forget to have an occasional cheat day. it's supposed to be necessary so your metabolism doesn't slow in adjustment to a lowered food intake. of course don't use this as an excuse to binge!
  • tacos (i make mine with morningstar farms veggie crumbles)
  • have you ever tried kombucha? it's more expensive than soda and it's not something you would want to guzzle but i find it a nice refreshing drink somewhat like a soda. it's full of probiotics and doesn't make you bloated, plus the probiotics may help reduce bloating. otherwise you can mix seltzer water with a big splash of…
  • did you just start working out?
  • it could be a sign of diabetes. do you have any other diabetes symptoms?
  • south beach sandwiches. just sandwiches with lettuce as the bread. i make mine with swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and a little mayo, salt and pepper. you could add deli meats if you wanted. great value sliced packaged cheese is really cheap at Walmart lately if you have one nearby that sells groceries.
  • i'd suggest going low protein/low calorie for a while. your body will burn your muscles for protein but it probably won't be very selective about just your legs. besides that you could also try stretching. this should help to smooth and elongate your muscles.
  • hot date, nice little dinner and a good movie in. or since i'm attached now, i guess a perfect friday night would be a nice hot bubble bubble bath, then get an amazing back massage and then a cuddle up on the couch with a good movie and a glass of wine ending in some video game playing. sounds like i have a plan now! (only…
  • substitute with fruits like sweet ripe bananas , oranges, apples.. always have them around and don't buy the junk stuff! (indulge very occasionally)
  • sounds yummy. thanks for sharing!
  • from the book Plain and Happy Living - Amish Recipes and Remedies, the author says that she found it helpful with weight loss to drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with a tablespoon of honey in a small glass of water for two weeks straight. i haven't done it yet so i can't attest to it's effectiveness with…
  • the best vegan cheese i've had is pimiento cashew cheese. it's not like slices or shreds, more like for macaroni and cheese or like a dip or sauce. it's really good but you have to make it yourself in a blender. i've never had a vegan store type cheese that was any good.
  • your best bet will probably be to stick to the curry chicken
  • the trick is to just cut a piece and defrost it by itself and leave the rest of the cake in the freezer to eat at a later date. i agree pepperidge farm freezer cakes are the best ever and it would take some willpower to leave it in the freezer but if you want one thaaat bad... i'd say screw it and get one, you only live…
  • i forget what i was going to make, but i thought i'd try my hand at deep frying. i must've had the heat too high, because the whole pan of oil caught on fire. huge flames shooting up in my newly renovated kitchen. i don't know how but the backsplash of the maple butcherblock countertop my hubby had just made himself got…
  • i've never tried weight watchers groups and i don't know what the new program is like, but i've tried using their old diet method and found it recommended too many salty soups. i ended up with high blood pressure and i think that was a contributing factor. so if you try it go easy on the salt. but i do remember having a…
