I'm back.....I've been on a health improvement journey starting about 2 years ago. I started at 215, today I am 181, and I've just joined a research study on bone health and am using the Optavia 4-2-1 diet. My ultimate goal is 166, what Weight Watchers established was my goal weight 30 years ago.

I immediately went Vegan for about a year....very disciplined and experimental....My blood results were incredible, BUT my wife hated my diet AND it was difficult to maintain on the road (I'm a consultant, and til recently, have traveled tremendously.…

haha after writing my previous post re the blood sugar diet. I followed a link and did a quick review. I don't care about the science.....I happen to know that NO diet at 600 calories a day would be of interest to me!

I enjoyed this thread.....all the discussion regarding whether someone who went to medical school and then specialized in Psychiatry is not a scientist and thus not worthy to present a diet that others perhaps hypothesized first. I've had a lifelong struggle with weight and thus have probably got a Masters level education…
