  • As you log food you will find out more of the nutritional value of foods. Amazon is a great place to buy recipe ingredients like erythritol or coconut flour for baking. Costco for almond flour, avacado oil and cheese wisps. And one word...pinterest for recipes!
  • I add it. I also save grease from duck because it has a lovely smoky flavor.
  • You want to smell like pancakes? Try eating fenugreek. It makes your urine and sweat smell like maple syrup. Mmm syrup.

  • Salad with a dressing to cover up the vegetable taste works for me. I grow alot of my own sprouts with fenugreek sprouts the one I consume most often for its nutritional value. Fenugreek is not very palatable because it is bitter but smothered in dressing makes it all good.
  • Wait until you start liking foods you never liked before. I found when I changed my diet literally everything tastes different!

  • I am a sprout fanatic and use fresh fenugreek daily. All it requires is a container, water and a few days. Whala..fresh Fenugreek! Why buy pills when you can grow it on your kitchen counter.
  • I don't trust any ice cream on the shelf. Best investment I ever made was an ice cream maker at the thrift store for $10.
  • Hubby always complains I commedear the entire fridge. He has one "sacred" bin for his groceries that I am not allowed to stuff things into. Seems no picture for me. I Can't attach it for the life of me...
  • I picked up a very low carb vanilla protein isolate powder at superstore. I only use it for baking. It hasn't let me down.
  • Wally world carries a few low carb dry noodles in the gluten free section. They have edame and a black bean that are both low in sugar.
  • The only time I use protein powder is in recipes. I picked up some very low carb vanilla Flavored protein isolate at superstore in the pharmacy. The BEST recipe I have made that uses protein powder to date is rhubarb coffee cake from everyday I dream about food. Dear Lord is that cake gooood!
  • Keto isn't for everyone. After I lost 50+ pounds 2 girls in my office jumped on the keto wagon. It didn't last long for either of them. Just cutting sugar and doing exactly what your doing now (and familiar with) might be a good start if he isn't eating that way already. Paleo is also a good start for cutting sugar and…
  • one word... pintrest. There is a gazzillion chia recipes in there.
  • I second the rice. It's an awesome addition to almost all my Casseroles and makes for brilliant cabbage rolls!
  • Blue diamond sugar free vanilla flavor almond milk is pretty darn close. I actually prefer it to milk.
  • Guarantee it's not available in Canada eh... Would be nice if we had more products here cuz making stuff from scratch almost daily is annoying.
  • [/quote] Well, I didn’t reach the goal weight I originally set. I’m 10 pounds away and have been 10 pounds away for 3 years. Maintenance I’m finding to be easy. Losing that last ten...?? Well, I’m not working hard enough at it. I don’t track how much I eat anymore really. After gaining 6 pounds between thanksgiving and…
  • Lemme know the link for the Atkins board you use. 20 years ago when I did Atkins that's all there was because the internet was still in it's infancy. I still have all my printed recipes from back then. The carb counts we're way off because there wasn't alot of low carb products available. Boy have things changed! It's a…
  • Geez I have near 1000 pins. I love that place. No idea how to link but you can look me up by typing: itzcath keto My tried, true and most loved favorites are in a separate folder.
  • Bulletproof coffee? I love a really strong 2 cup coffee with 36 percent cream and a tbsp of mct oil all frothed up with a pinch of cinnamon (and maybe a splash of sugar free torani salted caramel syrup). That's easily 300 calories or more depending on how much cream you dump in. I could never do the "butter" coffee. Makes…
  • Gee where to begin! Unico canned Lupini beans and Eden organic soy beans. I seriously miss beans and these are only about 5 grams of sugar for an entire can! Chili and refried beans are back on the menu. Cocoa butter for making my own chocolate with cocoa powder and liquid stevia. Shirataki rice is brilliant for cabbage…
  • I can't stand the taste or tolerate any polysaturated oils either anymore aside from now knowing our bodies can't really process them. Polysaturated oils are all processed with heat and chemicals. Genetically modified Canola oil is at the top of that list. Canola seed was poison until they messed with it and was initially…
  • I couldn't stand erythritol either when I first started keto. The minty, cooling effect it has in the mouth seriously drove me bonkers. Now I don't even notice it anymore, how that's even possible I have NO idea. Last time I tried liquid stevia it tasted like Buckley's cough medicine (the ad that says, it tastes horrible…
  • You are so halarious! I post recipes in my feed when I find ones I really enjoy but truly wondered if anyone actually makes them. Sharing is what this app, and my friend list is all about for me. Because knowledge gives you the power to succeed at your goal.
