  • Thanks for the replies. Yeah I always looked by bmi and it never left the green so I assumed I was perfectly fine. No I didn't do any strength training during my loss of weight. I have a picture from either Monday or yesterday and a picture from a few weeks ago I'll try and add them but view with discretion lol. I feel…
  • Reply to everyone. I do quite a bit of long distance running. I'm on my mobile so I'll try and get a picture up if I can do it. As regards to 'body dysmorphia' I don't think I have it. Used to be as big as 19stone about 6+ years ago. Got lose skin around my stomach a bit which may be altering my judgement.
  • Your 6foot 2 190lb and feel scrawny? Christ I'm 6foot 2 150lb and still feel like I could lose/cut more.
  • I used to eat peanut butter and mayonaisse sandwiches as a child. The mere thought of it now makes me shiver in disgust. (Its probably still really nice though)
  • Crispy M&Ms (blue pack in uk) can destroy a whole bag in about 4 mouthfulls. :D
  • Joe Wicks has said on many occasions that he doesn't believe in counting calories at all. I don't know about you but that sets alarm bells of for me, and yes I understand you can lose weight without counting every calorie.
  • I guess I got fat in the first place as I found it much much easier to eat high fat high calorie takeaway/fast food more often. I'm finding it a bit harder to eat up to my recommended calorie amount now that I feel that I'm eating healthier and more nutritional food. I just done seem as hungry as I used too. I maybe didn't…
  • Very valid points. I feel I need to look at foods a lot differently than I currently do. I don't drink sports drinks unless I'm mid run usually and me saying that has just made your point about them being just what your body needs even more valid.
  • When I said pre made I meant microwave meals and ready meals. I think instead of bad foods I should have used the term unhealthy. I feel like it was easier for me to eat say 800 kcal worth of unhealthy takeaway/McDonald's type food. Than to eat 800 kcal worth of healthy nutritional food. I'm very confident that I will get…
  • Would you not consider takeaways and pre made foods etc as bad? Or is that still approaching things from the wrong direction?
  • I am defiantly logging correctly. I do have a food scale. I guess I am fairly new to the calorie counting side of a diet/ lifestyle change. I do appreciate all the input everyone has given me
  • I would say I'm fairly lean yes. About 99% of my excess weight is stomach and chest area. I've ran a few marathons so I suppose my main goal is to keep beating my best times.
  • Thanks for the replies everyone. I understand that I have obviously eaten more than 1790 calories to have gained weight in the first place. All my meals were very bad and since I've started eating better quality foods and higher levels of protein I feel a lot more full all of the time. I guess I will just eat more even if…
