I am glad you lost all that weight (while exercising). As I said, it is entirely up to each individual AND I only offered what has worked for me. It was especially important when I had to work full-time and had small children. Trying to get in exercise around your work schedule and family is what can be difficult. I wasn't…

Just click on their name here, then click on it again in the pop-up box. It will take you to their profile where there is a button that says "Add Friend". :o)

This was explained to me years ago by an orthopedic doctor, but if you read the link I sent above, WebMD, it better explains than I can. Exercising is important no matter how you approach it, as is the way you eat before working out. If you exercise early, energy flow improves throughout the day, as does weight loss and…

Hi - I'm 5'3 and currently on 1200 calories. If you like, I will send you a friend request.

High-Protein before exercise is important. Also, I have been doing a very low-impact warm-up that is very simple, but effective. You stand about arms length from a wall, leaving your feet in that spot (shoulder-width apart), lean in until your elbows are at 90 degrees. Hold this position for three minutes. You will be…

Hi - I am 61. Exercise is certainly important. BTW, I learned that exercising in the morning, say 5:30am to 6:30am is optimal for weight loss. It will give you a slow rise in energy throughout the day when you need it, then steadily decline towards bedtime, when you need to sleep. Here is a link that better explains these…

Had RNY in 2013, lost 80 lbs but did not make my goal weight. I am here today because I want to get back on track and finish what I started. Please feel free to send me a request if you like. To everyone else, my doctor told me there is something magical about the first 7 months after surgery. You should strive to lose all…

I just bought a wireless Smart Scale, it sincs with your cell phone. It can also be used without a phone. I looked on this sight and saw what they offered, then I went to Amazon and bought one. It is a Withings brand, which is a Nokia company, so I felt good about my purchase - $39.99. Here is the link: Scale

The end of the week's totals for calories, is where it will make a difference overall on weigh-in day. You know it takes a 3500 calorie deficit for each pound lost during a given week - that's roughly 500 calories a day. What I like to do is save up the uneaten macros & calories for a day when I am more hungry - during…

I like Rice Chex with sweetened Vanilla Almond milk, because they're gluten free.

The increased fiber thoughts are reasonable, but I would definitely check-in with your doctor to rule out more serious issues. I was told by my doctor that it is not unusual for something to occur while you are losing weight, in my case it was a diseased gallbladder. Good Luck and Best Wishes, Debra

My 6-year old granddaughter loves her Martial Arts classes and she takes a lot of pride in earning the different belts. I believe she takes them at a neighborhood recreational complex for little or no expense, except for maybe her uniform. You may also want to consider something like Girl Scouts, they can help build…

I am 61 and I have both as well. I have an excellent Endocrinologist that keeps me "optimized" in the thyroid department. I have been switched from Synthroid to Armour, and I seem to be losing weight a little easier. Right now I am in a research study, so I don't yet know the final word on the Armour thyroid. However, it…

I drink Diet Coke...more than coffee...much more...I am a guzzler in fact. My husband always says that it's a good thing I don't drink beer! I could easily give up the coffee, but never my Diet Coke. Just for the record, I do get in my requirement of water each day.

I also have Fibromyalgia and CFS, plus some. I know personally what a challenge it can be, especially engaging in physical activity knowing you are going to pay for it later. As far as the dieting, this website does so much of the work for you. Putting together your food diary is a little like a puzzle, so it can be fun,…

Hi there, I am also from Texas! Glad you found this site - I just started, too, the day after Christmas. I am sorry about your exhaustion, but there are so many factors for something like that. I am tired because I am sedentary and I am sedentary because I can't exercise just yet due to physical issues. BTW, exercise does…

Will be 62 this year!

Many years here for MDD & GAD! You are not alone in feeling, "Where did the time go?". My husband says this on a daily basis, which doesn't help at all. I do feel old and my hair is almost completely grey now - Oh My Gosh, I'm my Mother! To top that off, I buddy around with my Dad a lot and people automatically assume he's…
