  • I can relate to the original poster. At my last gyno appt I talked with my doctor about the possibility of me having PCOS because I have many symptoms. She agreed it sounded like I could have it, but told me the only cure was to take BC or go on a diet and lose weight. Now I really like this doctor as a gyno and she…
  • There is also a channel on YouTube called BeFit that has great workouts.
  • I can't speak for myself, but I go to TOPS meetings weekly and we have a pretty small group. Several of the ladies are on Metformin and that is what they attribute to helping them lose weight. One lady got to her goal weight and stopped taking the Metformin and then gained weight back. Now she is back on the meds.
  • You look amazing! I know it is harder for women with PCOS to lose weight. Can I ask what you did differently that helped to finally see the scale go down consistently?
  • I struggle with this also. It's exactly why I have been stuck in my weight loss for 3 years now. :grumble:
  • My son has issues with chronic constipation and I have a little trouble myself. I take 2 magnesium tablets a day and it helps me go every day. My son has great success with magnesium glycinate. I'm trying the Natural Calm with him right now and it doesn't seem as effective as the glycinate. Hope some of these suggestions…
  • I agree with the above poster. I saw people around me having great results from the 24 DC so I decided to give it a try. (I only purchased the challenge because I got a great discount from my friend). The first half of the challenge went great. But I never got that "awesome" feeling I heard some talk about. However, it did…
  • You look amazing! Great job. I agree with the poster who said even your skin looks smoother. Great transformation!
  • On the days that you don't exercise, do you still eat at this amount or do you lower it further?
  • My last recorded weight was 213.4. I don't think I weighed yesterday, but I don't remember. I know I didn't today.
  • I've got 50+ to lose, so I'm ready for a challenge!
  • Didn't see today's challenge until it was too late. Will try to do this one tomorrow. I was really busy today, but I did have 3 meals but no snacks.
  • No challenge for today??
  • Yes, sugar is a major binge for me. If I even have one bite with the intention of only eating "just one", I always go into a binge whether it be mini binge or whatever. If you think messaging someone would help you, I say go for it. For me personally, I wouldn't take the time to message anyone because I know they would try…
  • Challenge #2- DONE! I had to break it up into sections, but I did it all at once. 25 lunges alternating 25 squats 50 jumping jacks 20 upper ab crunches 10 oblique each side 10 lower ab crunches Repeat in opposite order
  • Jeez, this one is going to be harder for me. Especially the jumping jacks. After two babies that is one exercise I hate doing.
  • 500 calorie burn-DONE!
  • Great first challenge! I was only down .2 this week. I can knock out tomorrow's challenge with one workout from Turbo Jam. On the schedule for in the morning.
  • Well heck, I had a whole post typed up and it didn't post. Here goes again.... My name is Brandy. I'm 36 and a mother of 2; a girl age 7 and a boy age 3.5. I'm in school full time to pursue my long time desire to be in the medical field. I want to be a Medical Assistant and might possibly one day continue on to be a…
  • WOW! Huge difference! I'm about to start Turbo Jam. I think Insanity would be a little too much for me right now but my goal is to eventually do Insanity. Great job!!
  • Magnesium also helps keep me regular. It's a wonder supplement for me!
  • eddymeese, I need to start phase 1 all over as I never got through it the first time. I made it 7 days and then had a planned cheat day and that was all it took. I never got back on phase 1 after that. We can buddy up if you still are looking for someone. I need someone to whip me into shape!! Lol
  • I also like this idea as it is an easy way to come get some ideas of what people are eating and what I can maybe add to my menu.
  • Please don't leave! I agree with everything that has been said so far. Of course I need to take the advice too because I have been failing horribly. But I know that SBD will work if I work it the right way. Sugar has a major hold on me and I have got to break that addiction! Try modifying and see how that works.
  • Welcome! So glad you are here to be a part of our little group. Congrats on getting through Phase 1. I do believe I am just going to start mine all over again. I CAN get through this phase without giving in. I was almost there and then I just fell apart. But I'm glad to be a part of this group for support and encouragment!

  • I have a heart rate monitor that I like to wear when I workout. It has a chest strap so it is supposed to be giving me pretty accurate calorie counts for exercise. I'd like something a little more advance, but maybe when money isn't so tight! Lol
  • This is just my opinion but I think I would continue to log my food. That will keep you accountable and then you'll have a record of what you are eating if you start to stall. You can go back and look to see what you could tweak.
  • This is SO me!! I feel bad if I fall off the wagon and instead of making better choices for the next meal, I just just say "what the heck" and eat bad the rest of the day. I need to get away from that mentality. My two days off plan turned into three. Jeez, this just proves to me that I can NOT handle carbs. They are a…
  • This is not a food, but I find if I take a magnesium supplement every day I have no problem at all being regular. My mother-in-law swears by greek yogurt keeping her regular.
