I really appreciate all of the advice. I know that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different exercises out there. Truly any kind of exercise is better than sitting on the couch. Running is something im very very interested in and have always wanted to do. I figured this site would be the best place to ask for…

That was exactly my reaction to my weight! I didnt think that I had let it get that bad. I decided that the only way to "fix" that embarrassment was to get honest with myself and then do something about it. I believe in you!

Thank all of you so Much! I did the "Week one workout one" on C25K last night and OMG!!! I was able to jog/run the full 8 minutes of running. It made me feel so happy and free! I never thought I would ever be able to run without crying and I DID IT! Thank you all for all of your advice! I cant wait for my next running day!

I sent you a request!

Thank You! That actually makes a ton of sense! I definitely will!

Most of them are not. Most of them run for a little while when trying to get "the perfect summer bod" and then stop once they get to that and then start over the next year.

Properly fitted for the best running shoes I can afford? Another dumb question but cant you just run in your regular shoes? Please educate me!

Ok! Thank You! I think Ill start trying this jogging thing by myself using the C25K app, and your advice and see where that gets me! Thank You so much!

Thank You! I will look it up!

Thank you! So its not going to backpedal me to walk a block or two and then start jogging again? All the people in my life say that you undo everything you worked for if you stop to walk for a block or so?

My beef is myself. Not in a degrading hateful way. BUT I get so caught up in eating right and exercising and then I get bored or it isnt happening fast enough or life gets tough and I just quit. I just wish i could get over that hump without going straight back to unhealthy.
