  • It seems to me that IF is another form of an eating disorder. Instead of binging and purging you’re denying and binging. I’ve lost 50 lbs by old fashioned calorie counting. Heathy carbs and clean eating are the key for me.
  • Check the amount of fats in your protein. I thought lowering carbs was all I needed to lose but found myself plateauing when I got complacent on fats
  • Ok this is going to be gross to most, but as the turkey neck appeared the chest went flat. At 64 you expect things to slide so imagine my disappointment when not only is gravity taking over but weight loss has made the girls just look sad. I feel better and get around better, but I’ll never let my husband see me naked…
  • As an older person I’m hurt that most of your responders are age shaming as inappropriately as you were fat shamed. I would never say anything like that and neither would any of my over 55 friends. You are beautiful. As a woman who’s been bullied most of my life for being overweight, my advise is this, use this as…
  • I found that it was burning my throat and with none of the benefits. Also after research found it will harm your teeth. Waste of time and money.
  • Thanks for the encouragement. I was having a bad day. I like the idea of trying yoga or water aerobics.
  • I too am on a fixed income. As suggested before I’m eating loads of eggs, but also leaning towards meatless meals. I’m finding as I lose heavy meats are harder to digest. I shop Aldi Walmart and dollar tree. Frozen veggies and frozen chicken breast are my go to meals cause you can diversify your menus
  • Halo ice cream and baked apple with stevia
  • Keto made me sick. I couldn’t digest all that fat so I got dehydrated from diarrhea and ended up in the hospital. I’m back to balanced diet. More veg lean protein and down 30 lbs.
  • I try to find healthy substitutes for treat cravings. My weakness is ice cream and pie. There are many new healthy ice creams that allow me to stay in my calorie allowance. And they taste good. As for pie I bake an apple with stevia and it’s nearly the same.
  • I use it to thicken smoothies

  • I had 100 lbs to lose and dropped the first 30 quickly but have slowed to an average of .5 to 1 lb a week. I agree that some was water but I think it was also my body adjusting to healthy portions and nutrients. I made the mistake of trying keto when the loss slowed and got sick. Stay the course, adjust calories and…
  • Be had mine out for about 10 years and no problems with raw veg. Now I did try a keto diet and had to quit because can’t digest all that fat. I eat salads nearly every day no issues.
  • I tried for 3 weeks after hitting a plateau on traditional low fat and didn’t lose any faster. I also had digestion problems with all the fat. Dr advice go back to low fat and walk more.
  • Thanks for the responses. I tried keto after hitting a plateau on a traditional well balanced diet. I agree that keto is not a life plan. And honestly I’m not feeling as good as I did on a low fat low carb regime. So back to common sense. I do like pecan pie with
  • Thanks. I think you’re right. I’m not a patient person. It seems I did lose 2 lbs last month but my scale is off.

  • There are some great seated workouts on YouTube. I like the hasfit group. I’m 100lbs overweight and with calorie counting and the seated workouts have lost 30 lbs in 5 months. Slow and steady wins the race.
