  • I was on Keto and my numbers were not good. I have gone back to tracking calories eating lean and clean foods. It has worked before, so now that I am 50, no need to get heart disease. Everyone is different and being in menopause means I have to do what is best for my body. Good luck!
  • After a 3.8 pound weight gain in 4 weeks and realizing my kidneys are holding on to water, I am just going to keep it simple and go back to tracking weight watcher points. It has worked for me without any issues so being healthy is what I need to do. Thank you for responding. Christina
  • I absolutely love step aerobics! My church used to have it on a regular basis with a toning class afterwards. I was in great shape! Sadly they stopped the classes and although walking and the treadmill are good, my body started gaining weight a little bit each year. Actually, I was just looking at the good You Tubers that…
  • So, what foods have you found to be helpful? I agree, the high fat is affecting my numbers as well. Thank you.
  • Great foods to eat that fill you up are: eggs with shredded cheese, brie, bacon, avocados, Kalamata olives, olive oil. I love to put coconut oil, truvia in my green tea. The healthy oils on food with salt and pepper are tasty and keep me full. Still can't cook eggs in bacon grease, add butter to my tea or I get a nauseated…
  • It probably is more work than I should be doing. I am using an older WW version to try staying within 24 points a day. I think I am fine with keeping within 20g of carbs a day but not go over 30g. I still fall short on protein but getting closer to my fat %. I am loving the eggs with shredded cheese, bacon, avocados,…
  • Thank you for that. I appreciate your reply very much. I do have the MFP app with my calories set at 1300. I did the worksheet from Keto Connect that have me eating 20g of Carbs a day (5%), my Protein (20%) and Fats (75%). A lot of You Tube videos say when starting out to keep the carbs at 20g/day and definitely not go…
  • I am new to Keto as well. I understand where you are coming from. I have lost on Weight Watchers, so this seems different as well. I have always been a size 8-10 and could lose weight by cutting back. Once I hit 50 that totally changed! I am now a size 14 and need to lose 40 pounds. I am a nurse and have a good…
  • New to Keto, count me in!
  • Welcome!
  • I find getting some quiet time and watch a favorite show, call a friend or take an Ibuprofen with a nap helps. I am single and my girls are grown, so don't have the husband and kid stress.
