  • Yes I agree! Mother nature is always playing movies and singing songs for us. She's beautiful everywhere :)
  • Oh did somebody say smoked meats :p Love dry rubbing and marinating different meats, fish and cheeses!
  • Right on ya I like to use lower carb dried berries to add some sweetness/flavor to things. Doesn't have to be Golden Berries, they were just the ones the store had at that time I made them. Dates, figs, raisins have a lot of sugar so be careful with those. I add the Sejoyia coco thins cause they are relatively low carb but…
  • You betchya it's beautiful BC :) Yes it was a wonderful day for sure! Thighs were very spent afterwards though but the views were worth it  I have a home on the mainland on a river and a home on one of the Gulf Islands on the ocean. I can't get enough of being with mother nature!! :)
  • If you don't have much body fat on you and you want to live the keto life and work out whether it be endurance, strength training, cardio etc you may want to make yourself some fat bombs or fat bomb/protein combo snacks to have before, during, after your exercising. After awhile you may find what your body/metabolism…
  • No it's Buntzen Lake. Lake view trail, Bear Claw trail, Saddle Ridge trail and Diez Vistas trail. From the Vistas there's around 5 view points that overlook lakes and the ocean.
  • Yes once you are fat adapted you should feel great exercising while in ketosis. Have been in ketosis for a year and a few months and have tons of energy while either doing strength training or cardio. Did a 22 km high elevation 460 meter elevation gain hike on Saturday completely fasted (45hr fast) and just took in pink…
  • Spaghetti (zeroodle's) and meatballs tonight. Home ground beef short rib and pork center cut meat with eggs, little bread crumb, fine grated parmesan regianno, aged Worcestershire sauce, garlic, fresh herbs and spices for the meatballs. And kicked up the spaghetti sauce with a bunch of other ingredients; fresh herbs and…

  • Anytime :) I'm glad the pics had that effect <3 Yes you're so right. This WOE/lifestyle doesn't have to be boring at all. I like to get recipe and ingredient inspirations from countries all over the world in order to keep flavors new and tasty. Youtube is filled with thousands and thousands of recipes from so many…
  • Body recomping is going very well. Staying very active, working out and eating much more protein now while recomping. Gaining good lean mass while still keeping the body fat down. Staying in optimal ketosis every day and health markers all excellent. Still doing intermittent fasting as well. And fasting blood sugar levels…
  • Little deli snacky's for first meal. Havarti, prosciutto, salami, chorizo, mayo, homemade dill pickle, tomato, cracked pink salt and cracked pepper with some pickled veggies on the side. Second meal was protein load :) Roasted chicken stuffed with butter/herb/spice mix and whole lemon, baby bok choy, carrots, mushrooms,…

  • Even better today after raising my proteins even more for this week. Fasting blood sugar is perfect too :) Fat intake way down, protein up and carbs still very low at under 15 but most days around 10 gr or less. Seems upping protein, upping calories, increasing my fasting hours has really tweeked things nicely. Seems a…
  • I don't care what the magical keto fairy says on their youtube channel. Anyone and everyone who claims calories do NOT matter is full of scheet, especially Dr Fung. The wager is open to anybody on the forum. That includes you :) Love and hugs love and hugs
  • A perfect and beautiful happy loving way to know you're in full time ketosis. I'm jolly and happy knowing that I am not just in ketosis but in full time optimal ketosis. With urine strips I wouldn't have a clue what was truly going on with my metabolism. Happy happy love and hugs for you all! <3
  • @gedanjj Wow. Interesting read. I actually had to stop reading halfway through because I got the gist of his explanation. And that is, GREAT IT WORKS FOR HIM ON HOW HE DOES IT. I, for one, count calories, measure food to eat at a caloric deficit while TRYING to stay under or at 20-25g net carbs. I've been doing…
  • I try to locally source straight from the farm pork, beef, cheeses and poultry. I like to make my own ground meat for burgers/meals etc cause I can customize the flavor of the grind and the protein to fat ratios. I usually try to make it cost effective too by buying bulk from local farms then vacuum packing after I grind…
  • 24 hr wet marinade Chicken quarters. Skin on, hickory smoked, then finished under the broiler. We grow some berries of our own on our home property but I also make a trip up to the local BC Okanagan during their harvest times to stock up on berries, Russian garlic, some other fruits for my family and some veggies for…
  • I realize this thread is in the LC sub forum but it does ask for Keto dinner pics so I'll post a bit of a mix of both LC and Keto carb level pics in this thread. During my WOE journey through LC/Keto my carb ranges/macro #'s have varied as I experiment a lot with those ratios. So please understand some of my meal pics have…
  • Lets just get down to the nitty gritty baconslave  here's what you just wrote: " You DO in fact have to be in a calorie deficit for your metabolism to burn fat from your body in ANY WOE. I've lost weigh doing many plans before I went keto. I assure you there was body fat lost. No one said you can't lose body fat in…
  • "My Lord you have a lot of free time on your hands. Who has time to write all that out let alone read? Listen, you may think you know a lot about Keto/Ketosis/Ketogenics whatever, but you need to concede to the fact that you are not an expect and no, you don’t know everything. " Please, please show me where, anywhere, and…
  • Normally I would make my own butter chicken sauce but this one I found at Costco was pretty decent for my macro's I'm after. I just don't overload on the sauce with the meal though. Added a pound and a quarter of grilled chicken breast, tomatillo's, egg plant, baby bok choy, garlic, red/green/yellow peppers, mushrooms,…

  • "In the years that I've been eating keto, I've lost body fat, I've gained body fat, and I have maintained body fat. The difference amongst these results has been fat consumption (and thus calorie intake) with no substantial differences in carb consumption or protein consumption. When I'm gaining body fat, it is mostly…
  • You so obviously don't know how to read and you show your true colors by continuing to take things out of context. But it is very typical of you I have seen the way you post all over the forum. If you did know how to read in complete comprehension you would see I have lived this way for well over a year now and as shown…
  • Hey Sunny are you a troll on these LC and Keto sub forums? Seriously are you? You do realize this is a KETO sub forum right? And that video Thomas is talking about producing ketone in a ketogenic state while eating very low restricted numbers of carbs in order to burn fat instead of glucose. Do you realize that that's what…
  • "Are you familiar with the work of Ben Bikman?" Yes, do you visit the Low Carb and Keto sub forums regularly? If so you would see that I have posted his videos. And if you visit the Success main forum threads you would also find I have posted his videos there as well. Here's a link to another thread where I posted one of…
