It won't be easy, but it's possible. First, why are you hypo? Hashimotos? No thyroid? Get a dr who listens. Test more than tsh. Try ndt. Autoimmune paleo if hashi. I went from 234-157 lbs with hashi, still losing even after my thyroid removal surgery.

Huge difference! Highly recommend getting one.

I did through my fourth pregnancy. It was helpful for staying on track! There are groups, if i remember right.

I have hashi... I've lost a lot. I have no thyroid anymore and still going along. Prior to my surgery, i went from 234-157. After, i did gain some back due to having other priorities over weight loss. Need to get a dr to actually listen to you. Run more than tsh. Try ndt. Check for other autoimmune diseases.

I love that attitude!

Not an allergy, but i have celiac disease and I'm lactose intolerant. I also have issues with other foods; found out through elimination diet. It's more difficult, yes, but you need to make the choices for yourself. How badly do you want to get healthy?

I'm hypo, no thyroid and hashimotos, only went gluten free because of celiac.

I'm in! Sent a friend request as well

I would love more friends! 31, mom, grad student, nerd, love tattoos. I work out nearly daily, i have an open diary (gluten free and high protein). I have 2 autoimmune diseases; thyroid and celiac disease. I have fibro as well. I've been getting into strength training and I've lost 60-70 lbs so far.
-
Add me, anyone, feel free. I just joined back after a long break; surgery. I've lost over 60 lbs thus far.
-
In my case, because it's not that simple. I have many autoimmune diseases, including a thyroid one, I have no thyroid. It's just not as simple as CICO for me and people with these issues. However, anyone can lose weight. I've lost 70ish lbs so far.

I did an elimination diet and it was all anti-inflammatory stuff (autoimmune paleo.. I have 2 AI diseases and fibro, also no thyroid anymore). Lots of turmeric, green veggies, no starches... I felt so good doing it, but as a mom of 4, it was just so hard to keep up with it long-term. I did find my trigger foods through…

gluten free replacement foods usually have more.. also it doesn't taste as good, trust me, I'm a celiac...
-
My "before" pic and me currently... work in progress.. down about 70 lb
