Have you been tested for heliobacter? It’s a common cause of persistent “heart burn/indigestion/reflux” symptoms and is easily resolved

2 weeks isn't that long to be worried but if the lack of loss persists for a few more weeks, you don't mention anywhere whether or not you weigh your food? If not you may have reached the point where the errors in your guesstimates (portions, cups whatever) plus excess calories from your cheat days are adding up to you…

Great job.

This woman is disgusting, worse than the fact that she took heaps of money from people is that people believed her BS and stopped medically prescribed treatment and started eating her recommended diet. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-09-28/disgraced-wellness-blogger-belle-gibson-fined/8995500 She did an interview on 60…

Kaygees is common in Australia as short hand for kilograms, we also just say kilos. Same way for 'kays' is used for kms. eg We were doing 100 'kays" (100 km/hr) or it is 10 'kays' (10 km away). Anyone under 40 is all metric, baby weights in pounds does still persist a bit. If you are a scientist, metric is the only way to…

Thanks a bunch. I am an Aussie too so no translation required. I guessed you were because of the blokey reference, not sure that's a thing anywhere else. Pete's speaking the truth in that article about the conversations we have with ourselves and the gap between thinking and action.

Well done on all the hard work. Do you feel amazing? I am currently your before photo, after having been your after photo and took for granted how much energy I had. Now feeling sluggish and fatigued all the time, I am hoping that will change with some weightloss. Would you mind posting the link to the article you read?…

Heaps of good advice here but I just wanted to add that maybe you need to think about your thought processes around food and lifestyle in general. Always hard to know based on internet posts but the language you use sounds like you have gone from one extreme to the other and are working on developing some kind of…

Hi, Congratulations on all your hard work. I have had some similarish issues when I still had 7 kgs to go to hit the top of my healthy weight range. I spent a fair bit of time thinking about it and why people even feel it is necessary to pass comment on your body. What I also hate is when you lose weight people proceed to…

But you don't need to go to the gym. Maybe you are pressuring yourself with too many shoulds. If you keep your calorie intake at the level suggested for weight loss for you, you will lose weight without exercise. Just go tothe gym when you have time and can get there (or do stuff at home, or go for a walk or whatever is…

There is a good English documentary on YouTube about addressing childhood weight gain/obesity. The doctors and dieticians emphasise that for kids who are still growing the best approach is not to cut back what they are eating but to keep their intake the same so that as they grow their cal needs will increase and come from…

Yeah, that's the logical thought but I know that I personally am where I am because of 25 years of a bad habit of using food for comfort, now so ingrained that it is really difficult to untrain myself. But I have hope it can be done. OP don't make the mistake I have, which is to give up the things you love because of…

OP - I have a similar story in terms of having gotten fit for a few sweet spots of 5 years at a time in my late 20s and 30s but now at 44 find myself as overweight as I have ever been. The big difference for me now (and I love working out) is that my body can no longer seem to tolerate my weight and exercising like it did…

I haven't had it done but I have seen it done IRL. It is a pretty brutal procedure. If you decide to get it done, don't go to anyone who wants to do it under local or at some sort of clinic. Go to a proper plastic surgeon and get it done in a hospital under a general. Not sure where you are but here in Australia there has…

I think they meant low for intake , not low for her BMR.

Only running 3 times a week is not enough training for those kind of events in that time frame. Also you have not left enough time between events. You need to do some reading up if you want to keep on competing and get educated about training and resting. Don't give yourself rhabdo!

Wow, judgemental much? You have no idea of any one individual's story and this smacks of the stereotype that overweight and obese people get all the time - that they are lazy. Firstly I see lots of overweight people out exercising all the time. Secondly I suspect you have never been heavily overweight otherwise you would…

Not to mention, like ancestry etc, you are giving your DNA to a business to do with whatever they like, on someone's database to be sold to or used by anyone. And I am pretty sure the science of genetics isn't at the point where it can streamline you to this precise a degree.

Your TDEE sounds about right, assuming you aren't doing much exercise. MFP doesn't work off your TDEE (also know as your TEE on some sites) though. It works out what your daily energy use is to maintain your current weight without purposeful exercise (also called Non Exercise Activity Theromgenisis or NEAT) and then…

There are dietary guidelines called the DASH diet which is designed specifically for people with hypertension. It's about lifestyle change and might be useful

Society would fall apart if people didn't lie. Imagine if everyone told the truth all the time! Nobody would like each other. So I think lying about what's no-one else's business anyway is just fine. Doesn't hurt anyone. Its all about the context.

Yeah, that's not really normal. I would definitely hold off on jogging until you can get assessed by a podiatrist and/or physiotherapist. Sounds like something's off with your gait. Might be easily fixed with particular exercises or shoes.

What's the rush? You grew a human and now you are helping them grow some more. If you are restricting your eating too much or exercising too hard that could be why you are drying up (assuming no other issues). This is such a short period of time when compared to the rest of your and your baby's life.

i just don't understand why people think that other people want their unsolicited comments about their appearance, life, eating habits etc.
-
Well I think it kind of is. Maybe it is time to decide what you want more, eating out and lose slowly because of the unknowns about the calorie content or to lose the last 20 pounds relatively quickly by eating at home and having better control of your calories? Three weeks isn't too long to not lose weight anyway (and did…

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but isn't Coke getting rid of coke zero? ETA my bad, they are getting rid of the Australian version of coke zero and have replaced it withe version everyone else has and calling it coke zero sugar. Confusing!

I agree about not discussing with others, avoids getting peoples unwelcome opinions, well intentioned or otherwise. I know what you mean about staying awake ruminating on things but I have been reading various books about deciding where you want to waste your energy (except slightly less politely put). Your energy is…

Here is a discussion about leanness and cycling and the perils of going too lean. Apparently there aren't any professional male riders who weigh less than 60 kg. Maybe you should check if your goals are realistic? https://cyclingtips.com/2011/11/the-pursuit-of-leanness/

If you are worried about body fat (and therefore I assume weight gain) have you considered that it is not what you are eating but how much you are eating that is the issue? Crossfit actively discourages monitoring calories becasue somehow you will magically only eat as much paleotype food as you need without overeating.

Sketchers make my plantar fascitis worse. They compress too much and don't prevent my foot moving around inside which is important if you have PF. Brooks work for me running shoe type things. I haven't found any shoes that work well for me that are what I would consider cheap, especially work shoes.
