I'm just starting (after a long time away) and need friends to keep up the motivation. My basics: - I'm trying to lose 45lbs at about 1lb./week - I want to look and feel good again - I want to start running again - I'm not on a specific diet or workout regimen, just watching net calories

I’m turning 50 in January and I’ve suddenly felt very old this year. I think the weight has a lot to do with it. I don’t want to be fat at 50 either. If I can lose almost a lb. a week I will be about halfway there by my birthday.
