Me, me, me! I lost 40 lbs just counting calories. I’m a 5’2” woman 54 yo. I’m working on the last 20, in January I started doing 30-40 minutes of walking, brisk pace (3.5mph), 5x’s a week. It’s so much easier without that 40 lbs to lug around!

I’m still here! After losing 5 lbs through the holidays I stalled out in January despite upping my activity. But I am now within 20 of goal and I am not stopping now!

If you have a school age kid, they should not be doing a restive diet such as Keto unless they are being medically supervised by a physician. A school aged kid should be eating a well balanced diet that includes, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins.

Hi there! I’m 54 and have lost 41lbs with another 20 to go. Sorry but your husband is wrong. You just need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. That deficit can include carbs and sugar. Send me a friend request, my diary is open to friends. I eat lower carb and surgar, but have not eliminated them.

From Thanksgiving (US) through New Years I lost 5 pounds. During that time I had 2 family T-day meals, 2 holiday work parties, 3 family Christmas meals, and unfortunately 2 family funerals. I ate what I wanted during all of those meals, especially the homemade pies 🥧!

I have been pre/diabetic for the past several years. Got serious about weight loss (40 lbs lost with 20 more to go). This week my A1C came back at 5.1. Dr took me off 2 of 3 medications. Linda, start by logging what you normally eat for a week. Look at that and then see what you can tweek. The easiest food plan is to eat the foods that you enjoy in quantities that fit your calorie budget. If you don’t have a food scale buy one and use it.
