  • I never had the chance to try the brace. As you guessed, it only really works when the bones are still growing. Unfortunately, I'm a bit too old for that now! Great suggestion for younger members whom may have the issue! Regardless, it isn't severe enough for me to consider getting fixed(via surgery). I have been very…

  • Looks to me as if you lost fat and gained muscle. The scale might read the same, but your body surely doesn't. I say keep up the great work!

  • Aside from the aforementioned dumbbells, you can also try resistance bands. I recently got a set that has a combined resistance of 100lbs. All you need is yourself and a door and you can store them in a drawer.
  • Fiber. Your diet is probably rich in fiber now! That will surely make things a bit more active. I've always been a daily dumper, but after introducing more fiber I've been hitting the hoop at least twice a day. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I can give you the technicalities behind it, and tell you the pros/cons.
  • Good luck on your second journey! I'm sure it won't take as long as you think. If you had gotten a solid plan after loosing the baby lbs the first time, I would start with that plan and see how it goes this round.
  • The reason they probably chose 2000 is because labels base their daily value % off of a 2000 calorie diet. Don't stress yourself out tho, it's easier than it seems to stay on top of things. Following Lumberjacck's advice will definitely help you out! Work your way into it, you can do it!
  • You'll find a general consensus that calories is the key to controlling your weight. You can always modify what they have in the book to adjust your needs! Edit: The post above me sums it up excellently!
  • @kardsharp once wrestled a great white shark! The shark tapped out.
  • All I can recommend for carbs is oats. A cup worth is loaded with carbs and calories and even has a good little bit of protein. Surely something worth working into your diet if you have trouble meeting your calorie goal.
  • Added you. We don't live too far away from each other so if you're ever wanting to hit some trails or walk the c&o let me know!
  • I wish I was :( She's cute!
  • If you're on the website, click on "Settings" at the top right, then "Update diet/fitness profile" This will allow you to set your weight, goal, and activity level. On the app, Click the menu at the top left(the 3 horizontal lines), then click on goals. You can tap on your current weight and goal weight to change the…
  • Keep up the good work, and hope you have a great day as well!
  • Actually, there is a secret tip. Tho, it's already out there.......KEEP AT IT!!!! You may give up alcohol, start eating good, and even exercising. You'll hit your desired goal, then you may want to stray back to your old life. DON'T!!! Keep with the healthy choices you're making now. Make long term goals like the poster…
  • Big congrats to that! I've only been sober for a bit over 3 months, but it feels great to finally get rid of my beer belly. So what has been the biggest challenge for you? For me, it's driving past the liquor store every single day and knowing they will probably never be seeing me again. Edit: Seem you may have been trying…
  • Indeed I only discovered it a few days ago! I took a stroll through your feed and you're already off to a pretty good comeback! Keep up the great work and those extra lbs will be gone before you know it ;) Slow and steady will win the race!
  • Glad to gear you're getting back on track! It can be difficult traveling. Hopefully we all can encourage you to stay on the path next time you travel!
  • Aweome stuff! Adding in a min
  • There's one very small and overlooked item you mentioned you have daily that could be holding you back that slight amount.......coffee. What are you having in it, and are you tracking it? If you're adding creamer or sugar and not tracking it, plus having a few cups a day, it can easily rack up the calories. Replacing 2-3…
  • Indeed I would. I'm always up for a good chat!
  • Congrats on coming back and making a second effort! I've recently read an article targeted to mothers where they use their child to help in exercising. Being a male, I found it quite interesting to see how even busy moms can stay active and bond with their kids at the same time! I'm going to add you as a friend and if I…
  • Heck yea I would, why not? But he will have to buy me dinner first
  • Awesome progress! Can't wait to see how you do this month!
  • 4 large scrambled eggs, roughly 25g protein, and I think <2g carbs. Pepper to taste. Super easy but you have a pan to wash afterwards. I guess it does feel like a healthy option.....so add a slice of cheese!
