BMI are based on grouping or according to population trends. I think they are better suited as a guide than something definite. People can look differently at the same weight even at the same height. I'm 5'5 and at what I consider my goal/maintenance weight of 165 (I'm 163 technically) and am considered "overweight." But I…

I was just wondering the same thing. I'm theoretically in maintenance mode but not in maintenance calories yet. I've been slowly upping my calories to switch from deficit to maintenance for about 3 weeks now. I've been about 2-3lbs around my target weight for about a month.

5'5 and I just met my goal weight this week!

Good points @jjpptt2 and @sijomial. I think I'm just having a mental hang up over it. Gradual does make more sense.

Also just noticing the background of my before pic. That's kind of embarrassing 😅

Not the beginning of my weight loss journey, but left was August 2018 and right was Saturday! 34lbs down and 3lbs until my original goal weight before making a new goal!

My mom told me I look smaller than I was in high school. And I feel like I was average weight in high school.

I started at 264lbs back in April 2017. I'm currently 169lbs. Fat is leaving everywhere except my stomach it seems. But I started going to the gym after losing about 30lbs and incorporated a lot of weightlifting. I feel like that is helping with any potential saggy skin.

Gained 2lbs. No regret here. And I had leftovers today. Still being active and I'll be back on track tomorrow.

Ah, good ole struggle mocha. lol I used to make those all the time to improve the hospital coffee sludge they handed out to employees. :D

Well this is a timely post for me. Lol I either want to demolish everything in sight or I don't want to eat at all. Its weird. I just try to be super self aware of my calorie deficit and find other things to do.

I think everyone on this forum is making adjustments with calorie intake. Check out the Success Stories board fo more of what you're looking for. Just wanted to leave a little tip. You said you can eat up to 2k with eating back your exercise calories. That's 500 extra calories from the 1500 you are eating as a base. Be…

Right...that's what the previous posters all said as well. So I made the changes. That wouldn't help if my calorie limit was based off the wrong activity level. Cause if that was the case, I'd be doing amazing lol

Wow. It's only been a day since I've changed my MFP to the suggestions from you guys. And I see a huge benefit. Obviously haven't lost any weight since yesterday lol but I actually see earned exercise calories from my fitbit being linked! Before it stayed at 0 all day unless I went completely crazy overboard with exercise.
-
Well that explains a lot. Should have asked this question months ago. :/
-
10lbs until I reach my original goal weight. But that goal is 165lbs which is still considered overweight...

I have a dr appointment coming up so I will get it checked out then. My BP has always been normal even when I was at my highest weight. I've only lost about 6lbs in the past 4 months. So that's about 1.5lbs a week loss rate. I plan on changing my rate of loss from 2lbs to 1.5lbs or to 1lb next week. I'm just hesitant to…

:D :D :D I thought you were talking about alcohol. Water I drink 64oz s day. The coffee only adds 40 extra calories from creamer. But the vertigo sounds much like the issue.
-
More like vertigo
-
Don't drink.

I don't really track macros. I stay away from carbs for the most part. But I lift but I wouldn't say its heavy. I do leg presses 140lbs to failure. Rows 60lbs and triceps 30lbs. But I dont feel like that is heavy. I mean...its heavy for me. No palpitations or BP drops.

1450 calories a day not including exercise calories. So I'm not mislogging and ditto what @rheddmobile said. Wasn't asking about logging. And when I lost the bulk of my weight I wasn't using MFP or a scale. Just ate less. Specifically started logging because I know it gets harder to lose the lower your weight gets. But…

If that is the case. Then I've been measuring 5g as a tablespoon for everything. Meaning most of my food entries are underestimated....meaning by your logic I'm not eating enough. You see where that is going? I dont think I'm dizzy from not eating enough, I'll give you that. But I am not overeating like you are implying.…
-
If I weigh 5g of food i call it a tablespoon. Why? Because 1 TABLESPOON IS 5G! its quicker and more efficient to not spell out every single thing. I eat less sugar than before. If I'm telling you I weight things then that means I weigh things. Not with spoons or cups but with a food scale. I'm just saying I am not eating…

Everything is weighed in my food diary. If it's something that states 1 serving of something. That's based off a recipe that I made and inputted into MFP and also weighed. So most things are weight. And I eat back some exercise calories. Not all. I do drink a lot of caffeine. No BP meds. Didnt notice the dizzy spells at…

Not every day... maybe twice a week
-
Besides it usually being evening...no other pattern

I drink 64oz of water every day. So definitely hydrated. That might be it. I work out after work and I'm always tired towards then. So I've started drinking 16oz of coffee about an hour or two before the gym. Being that I already drink 16oz in the morning....that may be too much. I usually eat a small snack at the same…

All good points. Everything else is logged to the T and I guess I'm just obsessing a little lol

Artificial sweeteners are not dangerous in "regular" amounts. If you are having 3-10 packets of stevia/sucralose/whatever artificial sweetener a day then that's safe. You have to have a WHOLE lot more on a regular basis in order to reach the level of toxicity that those sweeteners have. It's like apples. They have trace…
