You've come to the right place! Welcome.

To log consistently for the next three weeks - including a 5 days work trip and another week away from home.

It starts with a week. Please come back next week to say you've made it to two. Good luck!

You are much smaller you mean:-D Great job! Inspiring to see the long term dedication.

Good luck on this life saving journey for you and your wife.

I had to laugh at the "effortlessly" part of your answer. The poster did mention reducing calories to 1500 and exercising (albeit gently) up to 2hrs a day.

Advice often given by people who have never attempted to lose weight...

I have decided not to weigh myself this time around. I lost a lot of weight and gained it back plus some; weight loss was my obsession. I am trying to just eat healthy, in reasonable portions (hence MFP) and exercise,. I want the idea of a lifestyle to stick. As much as I have always told myself that I would be a life long…

I feel you. I had to buy clothes in bigger size because I am a professional and after one year of ill fitting clothes I just couldn't anymore. Congratulations on your achievement. Good fitting clothes just have a way of making one feel better.

Why do you see it as boarding/not boarding? Is it not more an issue of how they sit people so that weights are better distributed? A few years back they used to allow more luggage allowance. On international travel at least it has decreased. Maybe because passengers' weights are already accounted for?

It's a piece of information. Where is the debate side of it?

My cousin is getting married in December. I have a few gowns that I can wear... If I lose like 50 lbs. Was in the hospital a few weeks ago and they couldn't find my veins. Said weight gets in the way. Again: closet full of smaller clothes.

I want to say : just don't talk about it. But it wouldn't work because you are talking about your boyfriend and if/when you live together it'll be harder to him to not notice. You can show him some pictures from various periods in your life and tell him that's the tool you've found that helps you the best to stay…

Slimfast South Beach Phase 2 It was before calory counting apps and they were good ways for me to control my food intake. They also "worked" inasmuch as I was exercising 2hours a day when I did either of them. I see a lot of people mentioning Atkins as a fad. But then people who do keto swear it's a lifestyle not a fad.…

It's not about about being sensitive. It's a totally bewilderment. You see some "disagree" sometimes and think: disagree with WHAT? I have been pondering that myself this week. I was on the debate section. The DEBATE section. Someone asked a question. People disagreed. With a question.

Do you know my colleague? He started skipping breakfast, and eating a salad (lots of vegs) for lunch. But attributes part of his weight loss to the lemon water he drinks in the morning.

As a corrolary to this, the diet myth that fruit juice is better than other soft drinks for weight loss.

Key and Peele sketch Froyo is a perfect illustration of this.

Without roasting you... I am just wondering why you put this in the Gaining weight session when most of what you talk about is losing... (is it) 40 lbs ?

250 calories in chocolate ? I wish I could 'afford' that daily

Option 1- sync Fitbit and eat back added calories (you'll get 1200 + Fitbit calories) Option 2- don't sync Fitbit and set yourself to active or lightly active (you'll get 1x00 calories straight away).

I am reading this on April 15th. All your fears have materialized.

My model gorgeous boyfriend seems to think my measurements are ideal. I am obese and pear-shaped and he is crazy for that. Or any weight/measurements really I am since he values other qualities than my waist measurements. Again: Don't ask random internet people what you should consider attractive.

It goes away. You get used to eating less and you stop fighting all the time. At one point is becomes more of a choice than a fight. Hang in there a little longer.

She did say until the wedding. Depending on how far away the wedding is you'll have to see if you maintain or make further alterations to the dress yourself later on.

To be patient

You are not alone. I shop at off peak hours and avoid the very popular stores and you'll never see me in a supermarket on Saturday mornings. Plus I don't always recognize people out of context (hmm this face looks familiar. And it's someone I see like every day at work)

If it doesn't have fat in it it doesn't make you gain weight. And it's corollary from the same person: fruits don't contribute to weight gain. Both of these from my university educated cousin with a degree in medical technology.
