I mean that's not an opinion, it's a fact. You can't lose weight unless you have more calories(energy) leaving than entering your body. Everything else, including research like this, is only meant to help guide us to better figure out how to get there!

Original starting weight: 322 Challenge starting weight: 265 Challenge goal: 250 1/1 - 263.0 1/9 - 257.0 I was on a vacation in Nebraska for a few days. Did a lot of hiking and walking, keeping so busy that I didn't eat much. Lost more than a pound a day, holy moly! :D

I'm surprised you didn't suffer a lot of health issues because of that. Do you mean just mean permanent consequences, or do you mean you also didn't notice anything off during that time either? Our bodies sure are strong! This is my second round at weight loss. My first round was focused purely on calorie reduction rather…

Yep, that's what I'm asking, had trouble figuring out how to word it! Thanks for your thoughts

If it had no calories, wouldn't make me sick, and I could eat it all without feeling full or having my stomach explode... My mom's chicken and noodles Cheesecake Cheese pizza Cesar salad Garlic mashed potatoes Jalapeno cheddar bites with ranch Okay especially that last one

Sure, but what if you are eating something that doesn't have all of these things? Say you split everything you need across 3 different main foods - and then only ate one of these three foods for a week, then the second for another week, then a third for a third week? (BTW - I am not looking for practical advice. I know I…

I don't doubt that they've found something here, but that is an incredibly small sample size. Wish it didn't cost $35 to read the original findings. I was in the hospital for a week recently, and I didn't eat past 8pm, rarely past 6pm. I wasn't hungry during this time. I've returned from the hospital a couple weeks ago,…

I used to host 3-month weight loss challenges in here a couple years ago. Glad to see there's one going now! Happy to be back on MFP. Original starting weight: 322 Challenge starting weight: 265 Challenge goal: 250 5 pounds a month should be manageable for me!

Wow, awesome thread. I placed an order for the No Cow ones (the first ones are sold out but the second were still available). :)

Nice job on what you've lost so far! Good downward trend. Mine is very chaotic, been trying to lose weight since September 2018. Had some pretty big setbacks, but I'm on the right track.

Let's go to an aquarium together

This, and also products change their labels all the time. I've had several times where I ordered the exact same item from someplace, but they did some tweaking and now had slightly different calories and macros. So some of the entries in the database are going to be outdated.

Maybe you can get a cork board and every time you reach a certain milestone, you create some sort of craft and stick it to the board. Your own little award. You could also just buy stickers or patches to put on the board if you don't want to make something yourself. Seeing the visuals of your success could make you feel…

@kshama2001 Hey, at least they got it partially right haha! What I recently questioned about this chart is if this is supposed to be for the urine itself, or for what you see in the toilet--for the toilet version is lighter with all that water already in there. I always assumed the latter, but then I was like, wait a…

Thank you for the information, everyone. I had thought that pop was dehydrating, but I guess I'd be dead if that were the case! And thank you for sharing some of your own stories of hydration!

I know people highly recommend not doing this, but I check my weight about three times a day.

Hello. I am in a similar boat. I was 331 at my highest weight; I'm 290 now. Got down to 230 at some point but ended up regaining most of it. Would love to be your accountability buddy!

Good job for keeping at it, everyone! Next challenge can be found here!

Thank you everyone so much for your responses. It makes me feel better just knowing there are some people in this thread who want me to do well. @Pool_Boy No, I stopped doing that long ago. There are some days where I get motivated and start keeping track, but it goes downhill pretty quick. I decide to eat something that…

My rule: I can only have one late-night snack under 200 calories. If I have no snack at all, I will put a point in NS for "no snack" (as well as a point for "me"). Me*: 2 LNS: 0 NS*: 1 (I gotta thank this this topic for this one! Almost ate something at bedtime last night, but remembered this challenge and refrained.)…

@TerriRichardson112 I'm happy for you. You've done so great, and I'll miss seeing you, but I'm so glad you've reached your goals! @mandabeth34 We're in this together! I wasn't sure if I was really going to join myself either or just post it, but now I am sure I want to follow this challenge through. We can do it!
-
@syreina Thank you! The past 5ish months have been tough, and during the last challenge, I gained 10 pounds instead of losing 10. But I am determined to turn things around this time. So I'm happy to be back! And I look forward progressing with you all!

This thread is from 2019, so sorry for the confusion! The 2020 thread can be found here!
