  • Good morning ladies. I overate yesterday, but logged it honestly. Today is a new day, and me, hubs and the canine companions are going hiking. I have a small pork roast and cabb age in the crockpot. Ever onward. Barb
  • Oven roasted tomatoes! 😋
  • Hello ladies! I was able to ride my bicycle yesterday for 35 minutes! Huge NSV for me after those 2 knee replacements last fall-my first time out. I'm staying on track for calories and happy today is my "rest" day because we are going to attempt a hike tomorrow.
  • Hi ladies! I'm sticking pretty close to my goals so far, though I went over by 100-ish calories one day recently. It helps me a lot to know that other people can see what I'm doing/eating. In a few minutes, I'll be going on my first bicycle ride in about 2-3 years. And more importanrly, my first since the 2 knees were…
  • Hi. Mine is open to my friends. I'm a 57 yo married female counting calories and exercising.
  • Hi ladies. I'm a re-starter. My name is Barb, and I'd love to make a few friends to share the journey. I'm 57 and have been married for 39 years. We have 2 adult children, 4.95 grandchildren (the 5th is due May 24), and 2 big dogs. I own a b&b and am also a professional crafter. I love to hike, bicycle and snowshoe. 12-ish…
  • Sounds like children at Christmas. Two skateboards are better than one Porsche. Because 2 is bigger. 🤣😂🤣
  • 8 oz. by volume (liquid measurement) doesn't equal 8 oz. weight for most items. Weight of items is more accurate as a measurement for how much you are eating. Look for measurements by weight in grams or ounces and weigh the food you want to log.
  • Any theory or method or suggestion: If it sounds like a good idea, try it. If it works, keep doing it. If not, do something else. Easy peasy.
  • Yes. 😋
  • Oh. And I'm late to the party, but I'm in. I quit smoking about 12 years ago, gained 80+ pounds, lost it, then gained part of it back during the past three years due to being sidelined by osteoarthrits in both knees. I had two total knee replacements in 2018- one Oct. 4 and the other Dec. 6. I am ready to get back to all…
  • Slider 678. I use smoothies for breakfast or lunch. 1/4 pkg of silken tofu (I don't remember the weight for it-nobody else here eats it, so every 4 days, it comes out even and it's on my often used list), 1 cup of unflavored, unsweetened almond milk, a scoop for Body Fortress vanilla protein powder, and a serving by weight…
  • Hi everyone. I'm 57, was here a long time ago, lost weight, then became nearly immobile due to osteoarthritis in both knees. They were both replaced last fall (10-4 and 12-6). I gained back about 1/2 of what I lost and need to get back to counting calories every day and exercising as knee recovery permits. Would love some…
  • Try eating "real" food. Follow your macros. Skinnytaste.com is one website geared towards weight watchers, but has a lot of good recipes that are just as good for a general healthy eating lifestyle. Be sure you weigh everything you consume in grams, and log it all. Get some exercise, any kind you like, and log that too.…
